I liked the elephants! And I liked the course, naturally, tropic, elevation, and rlsley's usual attention to detail, lovely plantings, etc., all explained by Holein1. I found 10 to be very hard to drive in the wind, and 18, it seems to me in retrospect, that the 2nd shot should lay up well short of the end of the fairway if you want a decent shot, long, but decent, to the island green. But I haven't gone back to play it that way yet! Thanks, rlsley, once again, a favorite of mine.

No matter which continent rlslay decides to explore, you know you will be in for a treat and this par 70 is no exception ! With its nice hilly and green panorama, beautiful plantings, steep elevation changes, water hazards, rocky areas, undulating and/or tiered fairways, and breathtaking views, you will have your hands full, but bring a lot of balls with you, as a few... crocodiles are lurking in the water near some holes... You will start your round with the straight par-4 1st hole, with a slightly-downhill tee shot landing onto an elongated island, with a lake all around, and a blind approach to the undulating green, and the spectacular par-3 2nd, with a tee shot over the water (and a huge... crocodile) and a green set on a high rocky plateau, with four bunkers around. The right dogleg par-4 3rd hole is more traditional but beautiful too, with an undulating fairway hugging a wide lake on the right and an approach to the slightly-elevated green (next to the cliffs), just like the par-4 4th, downhill all the way to the green, with elongated bunkers along the “step-down” fairway, mostly on the right. Then, after the nice uphill par-3 5th hole, you will have a gorgeous downhill panoramic view from the tee on the long right dogleg par-5 6th, with a narrow undulating fairway, and an elevated green. One of my favorite holes is the very short (less than 100 yards) par-3 8th, with a steep downhill tee shot over a wide rocky area, which will give you time to admire the nice panoramic view of the serpentine lake behind (and the mountains further back), before moving on to the left dogleg par-4 9th hole, downhill all the way with three... elephants (with one of them being quite tall !) standing in the left corner, and a blind shot to the green, way below ! The back 9 is very scenic too, but tougher with more water hazards, starting with the right dogleg par-4 10th hole, with a peninsula fairway and an approach over the water (and another crocodile !) to the green, and is followed by the superb par-3 11th, with an uphill tee shot over some tiered rocky areas. Then, after the right dogleg par-5 12th hole, with a tee shot downward its narrow and undulating fairway and a blind approach to reach the green, and the straight par-4 13th, the last 5-hole stretch will really give you “a run for your money” ! It starts with the gorgeous par-3 14th hole, with a steep rocky slope between the tee and the green, with a little pond (and another little... crocodile in !) across right in front of it, and continues with the left dogleg par-5 15th, uphill all the way with a tee shot along a small rocky mound with plenty of trees (on the left), a long second (and blind) shot, and a big lake on the left of the green. The dogleg par-4 16th hole is no pushover either, with a tee shot over a very wide lake, sharply to the left, landing near 5 bunkers in the right corner (making the fairway quite narrow), unlike the straight “easy”, but very picturesque, par-3 17th, along a gorgeous small garden in front of a high Japanese-style pagoda (on the left) ! But, believe it or not, the best might be for last, with one of the most spectacular (and difficult !) holes you will ever face, with the left dogleg par-5 18th, very long (more than 650 yards !) and simply breathtaking all the way, with two uphill shots over rocky areas to start with (with the latter being blind) and another blind approach shot way down to the... small island green, with a beautiful tall Japanese gate in front of a temple nearby on the right ! As usual, rlslay takes us into his imaginary world with a breathtaking and challenging course, and this Asian Garden Temple GC is another proof of his incredible designing talent...

Cracking design, this is a beautiful piece of work and an outstanding course. The layout stays just this side of true 'fantasy', blending realism with some fervent creativity. I couldn't name any favourites, it's just a really great layout throughout, varied and challenging, each and every hole a pleasure. All of Rlslay's designs are superb but this one for mine is near top of the pile - absolutely loved it. Cheers!

A great course, but can the designer (or anyone else} tell me how to manage hole 18. Needed 13 strokes for it( a bit too much, isn't it?) I my opinion the 2nd shot is a kind of impossible one.

Very cool course, only problem is when we play direct IP with more than two people one person's game always crashes. We've all removed the EA Online and lowered graphics settings, since we always play with 3 people the course will just be an offline toy. Thanks for the effort!

Rislay---Your courses are most always very well done and this one is no exception. Not easy by any stretch of the imagination and 17 is not eagleable. The course is very pleasing to the eye and the pano is exceptional. I notice most of your courses are real but your real courses seem a lot more fun to play and more challenging. Keep up the good work. Some day after you realease a new one---join us over at G4F and play it with us. We would be glad to have you. MDM3673

Well, I tell you, I wish I had more time in making courses... and thank you for all the downloads it's really nice to have someone write a comment about my courses ... not just mine but every designer who spend his or her time making them and sharing with all to play and enjoy... it takes hours, days, weeks, and months to build a course, but only a minute to write a comment.... thanks again

Still kicking it Rob. I got to whiz through the front 9 and enjoyed very much. I like the subtle yet challenging movements on the greens, especially for very dry/no grid.
Proves that a fantasy course can play well. Thanks very much.
