Real stunner that you must make a point of playing , Scotland itself is a place that I love and managed to spend quality time there in both 2018 and 2019 its a beautiful country that has some of the worlds most amazing and historic golf courses. many thanks to the great team of designers for not only this beauty , but all the great courses you have put out .

A beautiful and challenging course with a nice mountainous panorama, manicured fairways with trees in the way, a few tough pin placements and gorgeous views of the lake, and the clubhouse, visible on a couple of holes, and well-designed by the CGX team with its Georgian facade ! On the front 9, I like the par-5 3rd hole with its tough approach shot to the green with the lake behind it and a small pond on the right side and, to a lesser extent, the par-4 4th, with its narrow fairway slightly curved to the right and interesting with its lone tree standing not too far from the green. The long par-5 6th hole (643 yards), hugging the lake on the right side, is my favorite on the front 9, but you will also enjoy the slightly similar par-4 7th, with trees in the middle of the fairway and the "cute" par-3 8th hole with its narrow fairway. The scenery changes somewhat on the back 9 as creeks run across the fairways on quite a few holes, such as on the nice par-4 10th and the par-5 13th holes. The final two holes are pretty too : the par-3 17th has the lake on the left side, close to the green, and the par-4 18th is a dogleg, with the lake on the left side again and a gorgeous approach shot over trees to reach the green, with... a nice sailboat docked on the left side and the grandstands all around. Loch Lomond is a very nice par-71 course, quite different from some other Scottish courses, and offers a spectacular view of the clubhouse (on the right side of the 8th green and on the 18th hole, again on the right side but a little bit further back) to go along with a challenging layout, and will definitely be added to my around-the-world list of best courses !

There is an old saying "what you practice you get good at it" As course designers your work is proof of the old saying. Loch Lomond looks great and a pleasure to play. Thank you for your effort...as I get to enjoy the fruits. Thanks again CGX.
