I'm playing all the CGX courses that I've downloaded, but I had to stop to say this course is simply great. I don't have the eloquence of Holein1, but I'll agree with all he said and add what Jackn said back in 2016 - its' like being there, playing the course. 'nuf said.

Once in a while, it is nice to stop over at home and realize that, thanks to the CGX Design Team, we also have some gorgeous and challenging courses (LOL) !
This par-71 is superb with its plantings, manicured and (at times) undulated fairways, tough bunkers and water hazards.
On the front 9, I like the first 3 holes : the tough dogleg to the right par-4 1st with water to the left side and the flag close to it, the par-3 2nd hole with its tee shot over the lake and its small green, and the par-5 3rd hole, a dogleg to the right with a stream running along the fairway and a very long approach shot toward the green with a... lone tree and bunkers guarding the green. Holes 4, 5 et 6, on the other hand, are "easier" with their nicely-shaped fairways.
The par-4 7th hole is quite pretty with a stream running along the fairway a little bit downward, whereas the par-5 9th hole is a long dogleg to the right with water to the left side.
After the par-10th hole, with water on the left side and its elevated green, the par-3 11th is pretty too with a small pond very close to the green. Then, unlike the front 9 with its nice and tough first holes, it is the final stretch that will keep you on your toes !
The approach shot to the dogleg to the right par-4 13th hole is gorgeous with the green surrounded by water and the flag very close to the trees. The dogleg to the left par-5 14th is tough too with its small mounds hiding the view of the elevated green guarded by a big bunker.
The par-4 15th is very pretty with the lake on the right side and a very delicate approach shot to the island green, whereas the par-3 16th will see your tee shot (hopefully) fly above the lake. After finishing with the par-4 17th hole and its undulated fairway, you will reach the par-4 18th, on the other side of the 15th hole with, this time, the lake on the left side and a nice approach shot to reach the green and the surrounding grandstands.
With its nice landscape and tough holes, Le Golf National (without an "e" !) is a masterpiece and one of France's best courses as the US and European Ryder Cup teams found out in 2018...

..From the tee box on hole 1 (which I believe is the best opening hole on any course)to the final putt on 18..you would think that you are actually playing the place..the detail is amazing..
Thanks for sharing..

Perfect course to play and a perfect, very detailed design.
Moreover the 6th CGX release within a month.
The CGX Team keeps all the Tiger fans away from football (soccer) TV and planning holidays.

Absolute stunning course Pete. It was a joy to play. The attention to detail demonstrates the very many hours spent in refining the course to get get it perfect 1st time. Well done my friend.

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.

No course in the works: retired.

Hi...just played your latest course...it is well constructed and the water reflections gave it a sense of realism.I found the greens hard to read on some holes but I think that adds to the realism of the design. Had a hole in one on the 16th...thought had under clubbed...thrilled to watch the ball drop into the hole. Love you guys for the time and effort and extending the life of one of the better golf games to this day. Thanks again
