Wow, what a fantastic design and man do I love this course! CGX has done an absolutely smashing job here - it plays like a dream, looks amazing and is so much fun from start to finish. Every hole is terrific but if I had to pick a standout it'd be the short par 3 7th - just exquisite. A masterpiece, hands down - I'll be playing many rounds on this gem. Cheers!

This CGX version is a remake of the Royal County Down course, brilliantly designed by Homeboy and, unbelievably, it might be a notch better (as if it was possible...) !
If both versions have superb plantings (with more gorse in Homeboy's design), the CGX team has the upper edge as they have included more details in the landscape, such as grandstands, camera towers and, most of all, very nice brick houses, notably visible on the par-3 14th hole (on the left side) and on the par-15th hole (on the right side).
Other slight differences include the small hills (or big mounds) on the par-4 9th and 11th holes, right in front of the tee box, which seem smaller on the CGX version (but I do not know which ones are the closest to the reality...).
If the Homeboy's Royal County Down version was already ranked as a gorgeous course, the CGX version is equally, if not slightly more, impressive. But, either way, you won't be disappointed... whatever version you choose to play !
