A very nice rendition of a course that came out in 2011, thanks to J&M Design.
Just like the previous version, this par 72 is beautiful, albeit a little bit different in terms of scenery and details.
Scenery-wise, buildings are playing "hide and seek" on a few holes, such on the dogleg to the right par-5 1st hole, where the city skyline (on the left side) has been replaced by the desert, or on the par-4 2nd hole, where houses behind the highway (on the right side) have been replaced by... sand. However, residences are back on the par-4 6th hole, but not... high-rise buildings !
In terms of details, the designing brothers MSR Golf and Tee Off really did a great job as camera towers and grandstands are present of every hole. (I really like the grandstands with their air-conditioned ground floors and... people behind glass windows).
Other differences are mostly cosmetic (a few more/less trees here and there) and should not change your opinion of this great course.
With plenty of sand, water, cactus and palm trees, this course is fun to play, albeit with plenty of wide fairways, it is not overly difficult.
On the front 9, I like the two par-3 3rd and 8th holes, both with water in a horseshoe shape around the greens, and the very long (650 yards) par-5 9th hole, with two small lakes on the right of the fairway near the green.
On the back 9, besides the par-3 13th hole, with a lake between the tee box and the green, the two most scenic holes are the par-4 15th with the green on the other side of the lake, and the par-4 16th, where a huge stone in front of the green may stop you from trying to reach the green from the tee box.
But, in the end, no matter what version you choose, J&M Design or MSR Golf, and his brother Tee Off Golf, are great designers and they prove it, year in, year out !

..Another excellent design with the eye for detail outstanding..
..Some very good holes throughout the walk with the two finishing holes each side & 13 & 15 my faves..
..Up dates of the other desert swing courses would be appreciated..
