A very nice stroll through England's countryside, thanks to TeeOffTowersey who (re)created so many tiny details (such as the fountains or the land drains in the middle of some fairways !) to make this course gorgeous. Not only it plays great, but this par 71 has some tough holes too, starting with the sharp dogleg to the left par-4 1st hole, followed by a long approach shot to the uphill green of the par-5 2nd. On the front 9, I also like the easy, but scenic, par-3 7th, with its uphill green and beautiful country road behind. Coming back, the par-4 12th hole with its downhill slope is nice with a little creek running on the right side of the fairway and a big pond with a fountain (and the sound !) to the left of the green. As for the par-3 13th, well, you will be a little bit startled seeing the road (with cars !) and the fence very close to the tee box. I also like the downhill par-5 15th hole with a very tough second shot over trees partially hiding the green, not to mention the pond to the left side awaiting your (eventual) stray shot ! With a real feeling of being there and a beautiful layout, this course is a definite keeper. I just hope you will quickly get in the groove... watching all these groves !

Great design and a very nice course. The front is a fairly straightforward affair, offering decent variety and challenge though not difficult. The back however ups the ante, bringing in a slew of elements to deal with. The 5-hole stretch from 12 to 16 comprise the best on the course - some awesome holes. An excellent design, plays smoothly and very picturesque. Cheers!

Great course - greens on dry - very dry are very challenging - the truest replication of real putting I've yet found. Thanks for the great work!

I Tee'd Off (without Towersey) and felt like a fish in the water. Nice work again; 4 stars rating.
By the way: does anyone know if you can play TW08 (with all those great courses) in Windows 10?

Thanks for the comments Jackn. The land drains were placed exactly as shown on the Strokesaver booklet. I follow a strokesaver guide for all of my courses.

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.
No course in the works: retired. |
