A beautiful course, well designed by MSR Golf, as usual, with nice plantings and smooth textures used for the fairways and greens.
There are quite a few scenic and/or challenging holes on this par 71 course, starting with the dogleg to the right par-4 5th, with its fairway partially hidden by trees in front of the tee box, and continuing with the pretty dogleg par-5 8th hole, with a small lake on the left side (and a fountain as a bonus !) and a few small bunkers guarding the green.
The back 9 has more water and is more scenic, as the par-4 10th and the par-3 11th holes, will attest : the first one has a small creek running along the fairway on the right side, whereas the latter has a lake between the tee box and the green, with a fountain in the middle.
The dogleg to the right par-5 14th hole, just like the 5th, has trees in front of the tee box, whereas the dogleg to the right par-4 15th is a risk/reward hole : measuring 311 yards, you might be tempted to use your driver to reach the green but the big lake facing you will make you think twice about doing it, not to mention a couple of bunkers awaiting your risky shot...
But my favorite hole is the par-5 18th, with its small rocks and gorgeous serpentine creek, crossing the fairway back and forth, all the way to the green, surrounded by the grandstands and their big flags.
With its pristine look, this course is a beauty and a definite keeper for me and, hopefully, it will be for you too !
