More than a year ago, I ran into problems with this course (see my comments below) and, unfortunately, it happened again tonight, this time with TW08 !
I guess this CGX Gullane Golf Club 2015 was not meant for me...
It started with the downhill par-3 7th hole, where I was happy to see the ocean for the first time until I saw its... angular shape, and part of the horizon turning black on the far right, and continued with the par-4 10th hole, with the horizon behind the green turning black again.
The same displaying bugs also occurred on the par-4 14th hole and on the final downhill par-4 18th (quite nice otherwise with all its brick houses).
Needless to say, this links CGX Gullane Golf Club, quite unusual already with its very steep elevation on some holes (not to mention its very bare surroundings), will be the first course, designed by TeeOffTowersey, that I will not keep because of continuous bugs, be it with TW07 or TW08... Until then, let's hope I will have better "loch" next time !

No eye candy on this one,its all about golf.
A lot of up hill drives unusual for links track
There are plenty of sand traps to avoid
Its not the best links course out there
but its well worth a play

Sorry to go against the grain, but this course does not do it for me !
Maybe it is due to my graphics card (or playing with the TW07 edition...) but there were too many displaying bugs to really enjoy it.
Unlike all the nice comments below, I found this par-71 course too dull. True, it is a bit unusual with all these uphill tee shots (the first 7 holes just on the front 9 alone, and many more on the back 9 !) but seeing lines between the horizon and the landscape and/or the horizon moving up and down really "spoiled" my round.
Since all the other CGX courses that I have played so far ran without a glitch, maybe this one was not meant to run smoothly with TW07...

Great design and quite a fascinating course - a little different to other Scottish links, the elevation changes being one factor. It's certainly not easy either, particularly with approach shots and/or trying to recover when errant. Definitely a fun course, plays and looks great, an excellent design. Cheers!

Thought this course was a bit bland - no fault of the designer - just it`s looks. Shot 64,63 in breezy dry conditions - so ramped it up last two rounds. Played in gusty, wet and light rain - and wow! This course came to life and to me seemed to even look better. Shot 70,70 those two rounds. Played fantastic! Thank you for this course and sharing.

Even if you didn't know which country this course was in before teeing off, it wouldn't take long to realise you're in Scotland. Aye laddie, great layout & great feel...

Very nicely done! Nice, playable yet a good challenge. Some of the birds seem a little tropical but then again I'm not from Scotland so I could be wrong in my assumption.
