I did not see any yacht but I had fun in Pestovo, even though I found the downhill tee shots a little bit too repetitive, at times.
The first three holes are very nice : a beautiful wooded and hilly panorama sets the tone on the par-4 1st hole and its downhill green guarded by 4 bunkers, followed by a tough par-4 2nd hole with water near the tee box (and trees obstructing the view of the green), and a downhill dogleg to the left par-5 3rd hole with water on the right.
The par-3 4th hole is easy but quite scenic with a flying tee shot above the water, but I prefer the more original par-3 8th hole with its elevated green instead.
On the back 9, I like the easy par-5 10th hole with its beautiful road on the left side and the par-4 11th with trees blocking the view of the fairway. The par-4 13th hole is interesting too with 4... trees in the middle of a small lake, but my favorite hole is the downhill to the left par-4 18th with its nice fountain in the middle of the lake on the right side of the green, with the clubhouse nearby.
With its beautiful tree-lined and wide fairways and a panorama that blends in very well, this course is pretty but it lacks a little bit of toughness to rank as a masterpiece. Nevertheless, it is a big "DA !" for me...

Excellent course and design. Really good layout, nice variety and a few superb holes, especially during the opening stretch - two quality par 4's to start, then a par 5-3-4 combo that is the best on the course. The 4th is an awesome par 3 with a long, seahorse-shaped bunker guarding the green - loved it. I found the greens difficult throughout - springy on approaches yet not overly quick, so you'll need to really think through your round. Really enjoyed it, a great design, cheers!

Been enjoying this. The slowed down effect on the greens is a welcomed feature. Course has a lot of character. 5 stars.

Very interesting. I didn't know Russia even had any golf courses. But it looks and plays great. Very well done, 5 stars
