Here is another gem of a course, hidden among the hundreds created, over the years, by multi-talented designers.
This par-72 has a lot of nice holes, surrounded by lakes, palm trees, villas, and a beautiful hilly panorama.
If all the holes are visually nice on the front 9, they are not too difficult to play. The par-5 2nd hole, with its fairway between the lake on the left and palm trees on the right, the dogleg to the right par-4 6th, with its little bridge, and the long dogleg to the right par-5 7th stand out, but the best and most gorgeous hole is the par-3 8th, with its hidden tee shot flying over the water.
Coming back, I really like the green of the par-5 11th, with its gorgeous view of the island green of the... 17th hole with the mountains as a backdrop, and the two-par-4 14th and 18th holes.
But, of course, the signature hole of Amata Spring is the superb par-3 17th with its isolated green (and the boat docked next to it), very similar to the par-3 14th at Coeur d'Alene...
With its gorgeous landscape, albeit pretty flat (as expected), and its nice layout, this course is a delight to play and will definitely be added to my list of the "best-all-around-the-world" golf courses, thanks to the talent of Tee Off Golf !

Open flat course where trees don't really come into play, but there's enough water to keep you on the straight & narrow. Lovely attention to detail as always from Mark, such as the carpark behind the 10th tee. Faves would be the 8th, 12th & of course the 17th.
Yes jackn, said squirrel wouldn't need to worry too much about gathering food for the winter in Thailand... :)

..A couple of observations..there was a squirrel running all over the place on the front nine..cannot remember seeing any such animal when I played there..boat was docked on the 17th could not feed the fish..:-))

(As a person who has never come to Thailand):Played it a second time and I liked it even better than the first time.
First class and a bit more compliments to the designer now.

As a person who have been there, your design is great, but I think some more greens need some more slopes, especially 8th, 9th and 18th hole, thanks.

As a Thai, I'm really appreciate your design so much, have been there several times for Thailand Golf Championship, but never have a privilege to play there. Now you make my dream come true, Thank you :)

A nice course, but with little variation; after some holes you think:"Didn't I play this one before?"
Hole 17 looks nice, and it is nice: I played a hole-in-one there.

Tee off yes I will load it again later, and try it out and let you know here its strange as it does it on all holes and not just on extra detailed holes ie buildings etc

Just completed a round, no lag issues at all. Shot even par, couldn't make a putt to save my life. The greens were fair, I just suck at putting. Great job on this one, I recommend it.

catching up with some recen courses here ,this one is nice but did not enjoy it no matter where i was on the course i had computer lag even on defualt and auto settings..do not know why as I do not get any problems like that. very odd. was not multitasking on computer just game running other than that really nice
