With a nice city skyline and bridge as a backdrop, some subtle elevation changes, quite a few slanted fairways and doglegs, this par 72 plays very smoothly and is fun to play. It starts with the pretty dogleg par-4 1st hole, with a big lake on the left (but with a lone tree in the middle !), a big bunker in the left corner and an uphill approach shot to the green (with a big slope on the right side), and continues with the right dogleg par-4 2nd, with a steep uphill tee shot landing on a plateau and a green, guarded by three small bunkers in front, slightly to the right. After the right dogleg par-4 3rd hole, slightly uphill all the way to the green, I like the dogleg par-5 4th, with a blind tee shot downhill, a nice panoramic view and a green, slightly downhill (and to the right), and the par-3 5th hole, slightly downhill with a tee shot over a u-shaped small lake landing onto a wide green. Two of my favorite holes follow : the left dogleg par-4 7th, quite scenic with a view of a steel bridge and the city skyline and with a steep downhill tee shot with a heavily-slanted fairway, and the short right dogleg par-5 8th hole, where you can cut the corner with your tee shot in order to have an eagle opportunity after hitting your approach shot onto the green (with the view of the bridge behind and a nice big... cruise ship docked, way to the left). The last par-3 9th hole is nice too with its elongated lake on the left of the fairway ending near the green and a nice clubhouse on the left. On the back 9, I like the par-3 11th hole with a tee shot over a small lake, the left dogleg par-4 12th, with a slightly-downhill tee shot and an elevated green, but the nicest hole is the left dogleg par-5 14th, with a heavily-sloped fairway and two bunkers on both sides (making it quite tough not to avoid landing in one of them), and with a green, slightly downhill, with the nice view of the bridge and the bay behind ! Then, after the left dogleg par-4 15th hole, with a slightly-uphill tee shot and a green, slightly downhill, and the right dogleg par-4 16th, uphill all the way to the green, you will finish with two very nice holes : the right dogleg par-4 17th, with a downhill tee shot landing on a heavily-sloped fairway and a green, slightly uphill again, and the scenic par-3 18th hole, with a tee shot over a small lake, the nice clubhouse behind and the skyline further back. The Heat Resort & CC is one of willie's best courses and a definite keeper in my book with nice plantings, textures and quite a few water hazards and tough fairways to test you all the way. Thank you, again, willie, for your very nice work !

Always enjoy playing your courses, but you will get more play from people that have a lot of courses downloaded if you drop the word "The" when naming your courses...Example, I have over 1600 courses and the word "The" take twice as long to get to then starting with the word "Heat". take it for what it's worth......
