Welcome to Bunkersville ! With 100 bunkers (according to the general info) spread along this course, chances are your bucket and spade will be quite handy as you are bound to find a couple of them on your way to the 18th green... The right dogleg par-4 1st hole sets the tone for what you will face on this par 71, with a slightly-downhill tee shot, an undulating fairway and an uphill approach to an elevated green, and is followed by another right dogleg, the par-4 2nd, with a blind and downhill tee shot, a big bunker in the right corner and another uphill approach shot to the green, with three big bunkers in front ! Then, after the par-3 3rd hole, with 6 bunkers around the green, you will reach the long and left dogleg par-5 4th, uphill all the way with plenty of bunkers (mostly on the right) as you approach the green, before heading for the straight par-4 5th hole, with a downhill tee shot, a narrow fairway with bunkers on both sides and an elevated green with more bunkers around ! Water comes into play on the short (about 320 yards) right dogleg par-4 6th hole, with a downhill tee shot, an elongated bunker in the corner and a big pond to the right of the green. However, my two favorite holes on the front 9 are the straight par-5 8th, with a blind tee shot downward a narrow fairway, a big pond halfway on the left, and another big one to the right of the green, with a big bunker in front, slightly to the left, and the left dogleg par-4 9th hole, with 7 (!) “jigsaw-puzzled” bunkers on the left side of the slanted fairway, midway through, and another elongated bunker on the right, ending in front on the right of the slightly-downhill green ! Coming back, I like the left dogleg par-5 11th hole, with a bunker splitting the fairway midway, and a very long approach shot (if you like gambling...) over a meandering river in front of the green, and the short (about 345 yards) dogleg par-4 12th, following the river on the right with a narrow fairway and a big bunker in the middle not far from the green, with a nice little covered bridge behind. After the par-3 13th hole, with a tee shot over the river, I also like the left dogleg par-4 14th, with another tee shot over the water, right in front of the tee box, and an uphill shot to the elevated green with a big bunker in front and a small lake behind, and the scenic and tough par-3 16th hole, one of my favorites, with a tee shot over an elongated pond and a small green with 4 bunkers behind. The last two holes are nice too : on the left dogleg par-4 17th hole, you will need to hit an uphill tee shot (while avoiding the bunker in the right corner halfway), before hitting your downhill approach shot to the green, with a lake behind, whereas, on the right dogleg par-4 18th, you will have to be careful with a small lake on the left, midway, before trying to reach the green with an approach shot over another small lake. Averill Golf Club is not your usual course with so many bunkers, surrounded by rough and/or weeds, but it is quite challenging with a few elevation changes and water hazards (mostly on the back 9), and you will definitely enjoy the right dogleg par-4 15th hole, with its uphill tee shot and downhill approach to the green, as it is the only hole without bunkers !

Job well done, I play on very dry greens and love it when the ball don't go rolling all over. Liked the layout also, 2 thumbs up I would give more but that's all I have. Had fun thanks for sharing with us bush wackers lol

Yes the designer (jmwall24) uploaded it as Fantasy course. I read the Course discription, and i presumed it was a Real course, so i changed it to Real. My mistake, i apologize, i should have asked the designer first.

Thanks. I want to correct one thing, it is not a real course, I swear I clicked fantasy when I uploaded it, but I have corrected that now. That said, it was designed to play like a real course. I don't really design 'fantasy' courses either, I think of them more as realistic fictional courses that could be made in real life. I've been tinkering with this course on and off for several years, not really intending to release it, but I finally got it where I really like it, and I'm glad you guys like it, too.
