Very interesting and unusual course with its textures used on the tee boxes, fairways and greens and the short yardages of most holes. Even though I am not a big fan of glass blades on the tee boxes, I have to say that it is quite different and, once in a while, why not ? The beautiful flowers all around make the course look nice but, with mostly straightforward and short holes, I spent my time hitting 3-wood shots to come close to the green then chip or pitch near the cup to finish with a birdie ! There are quite a few tough holes with trees in the way, like the two par-5 7th and 10th, and a few scenic par-3 holes, like the 6th, with a little creek and a bridge to look at or the (very) short 11th (91 yards !) with big bushes in front, hiding the tiny green. Overall, this par-70 offers a different challenge and is worth playing. It will then be up to you to see if that's your cup of tea (or tee) or not, but, nevertheless, you can't take away the nice work done by JP Denny to come up with new designing ideas...

This is the second course of JP Denny's that I have downloaded, and in both cases I replaced the splash, logo and flag files as I don't think that having an overhead for each is very realistic, especially for course selection purposes.
Now in your defense I didn't file a lot of usable logos for this course, but I found a couple which served the purpose.

have to agree with bill. I just want to ask you JP, have you ever been on a real golf course? tees dont have grass blades, they are mowed. to me this is not real, carnival. good effort though.

Didnt care for it. Textures are not apealing and the yardages were all off. Water not flat. Many seams and areas that needed smoothing.

I liked the texture on the fairways. If the trees had been the fall colors it would remind me of playing a course in the fall after it had closed but still open free if you walked it and didn't care about the greens keeper letting things go.

The new textures experiment is different and I look forward to it's evolution. Really enjoyed the used and worn look of the fairways, reminded me of my local course where course maintenance is lagging but, it did feel a bit out of place due to the well manicured bushes and trees. Not a fan of the grass blades on the tees, possibly because it wasn't on all the tees. While the course was short, once again it reminds me of a local course.

Played this course after reading the comments here, the course is a bit samey the tees are all much the same as each other and the greens are a bit the same...okay but wait this is a very exciting course! the texture experiment is something different I loved the look of it, this could set a trend and bring this old game some new life. brilliant work!

I added the grass blades to the textures to give it a more real feel to the game, I kinda got tired of the same ole look of the fairways just a flat plain look. same with the Tee boxes and fringe, the play is not much different from the plain textures but it does add a visual look of being more like a true 3D look of real life golf that we all have played.Plus I am trying to add new ideas to the textures for a new style or way of creating courses for a game that is 5 years old, there is still more that i have not learned but still trying new things to add some excitement to the game.

Wonderful design. Just wish that the textures weren't so out of place. You should update this course in the future.
