Stunning course visually that plays well with the front 9 more challenging than the back 9.
As usual, BullPupp2 designed a masterpiece with superb details, such as the gorgeous villas lining up the fairways.
Water is not too much "in the way", but narrow and/or bottleneck fairways will require accurate shots to avoid bunkers and/or high rough.
The first two par-4 holes are simply superb, especially the 2nd hole. The par-3 7th has a nice overview of the villas as your shot flies towards the green. I also like the two par-4 8th and 9th with the lake on the left on the first one, and to the right on the latter.
The back 9 has more back and forth straight holes, except for the dogleg par-4 10th and the par-4 18th, with its narrow fairway between the lake on the left and bunkers on the right.
Once again, a gem of a course, beautifully designed by BullPupp2...

A quick glimpse of the course from the first tee brought the Doral Blue Monster to mind, but the similarity ended there. What water there is doesn't come into play very often with so many straight fairways - if you can keep the ball on them, that is. Released in tandem with PGA West, Bill has done a masterful job with both courses & although they share similar surrounds, they are vastly different layouts.
No sign of Bugs Bunny at La Quinta either, but he could still be in the Coachella Valley, at "the big carrot festival therein" or else he's off hornswoggling a bull south of the border - bully for Bugs...
