One of the few Cello’s courses that look almost “normal” (take a look at the photo gallery) with beautiful plantings (as mentioned by the “gardening master”, rlslay), a nice English countryside, and quite challenging with plenty of elevation changes and blind shots needed to reach a lot of very small greens (surrounded with some pot bunkers), one of Cello’s trademarks not gone away !
You will be off to a beautiful start with the right dogleg par-4 1st hole, uphill all the way with a fairway hugging a small creek, running all along on the right and behind the small green (framed by two bunkers), reachable after two blind shots, and the gorgeous but very risky par-3 2nd, with a blind tee shot flying downward to the small island green.
Two left dogleg holes follow : the par-5 3rd is uphill all the way, with two blind shots over deep rough and a slanted fairway, winding its way to the green (with two elongated bunkers on the sides), whereas the par-4 4th is downhill with a fairway set between two small hills, and very tough with a tiny green, surrounded by three small pot bunkers.
Then, after the par-3 5th hole, with a blind and downhill tee shot over some deep rough, landing onto a small green (with another small pot bunker to deal with), you will face the left dogleg par-5 6th, with an undulating fairway split halfway (with a big rock on the left) and a long and challenging approach toward the green, set on a rocky plateau, with a tiny pond below (on the left), before moving later on to the uphill par-3 8th, with three pot bunkers around the small green to worry about...
You will finish the front 9 with the gorgeous left dogleg par-5 hole, with a blind and uphill tee shot landing onto an island fairway, and another blind shot toward the small island green, with more pot bunkers to contend with !
The back 9 is no pushover either, starting with the right dogleg par-4 10th hole, with a blind tee shot and a downhill approach to a small undulating green, with a small pot bunker (on the left), an elongated bunker (to the right) and a tiny pond (behind), and continuing with the par-3 11th, uphill and quite challenging with an elongated bunker surrounding the small green, halfway behind (with four small pot bunkers near the flag !).
I also like the pretty and straight par-4 13th hole, downhill all the way, with two shots over a serpentine lake needed to reach its small green (with a small rocky slope – waterfall ? – behind), and the uphill par-3 14th, with a tee shot above a winding creek landing onto another tiny green.
On the straight par-5 15th hole, you will need to hit your tee shot over a meandering river to land onto the fairway, split midway, before firing a very long and slightly-uphill approach toward the green, guarded by two wide bunkers (front and back), before heading for the beautiful dogleg par-4 16th, bending sharply to the right, with a tiny pond, midway on the left, and a second shot over plenty of shrubs to reach the downhill green, with... no bunker on it !
Finally, after the par-3 17th hole, uphill with a tee shot over a creek, running across the fairway (and with a bunker in front of the green to watch for), you will complete your round with the short dogleg par-5 18th, downhill all the way and bending sharply to the right, with plenty of deep rough, splitting the fairway, midway in the corner, making your approach quite long toward the small green.
As we all know by now, Cello is a talented designer who divides the golfing community with his wild imagination on his "out-of-this-world" fantasy courses but, this time, he came up with a more traditional layout (albeit quite difficult with its tiny greens... and pot bunkers around !) that should satisfy his detractors...

I can remember, that, in the past, I deleted some Cello courses after playing them one time or even less than that.
But look at this course now: very competitive and wonderfully created.
Maybe the waterfall, to be seen at hole 13 and 14, is not very realistic, but that's all.
Four stars, for sure...
Thank you Mr.Cello for all the hours spent on this creation!

Agree with all previous comments.
Excellent design and test of your patience.
Shame the greens were not slightly larger.
Enjoyed the walk.

Miss the green and land in a pot bunker you had better brought a shovel to make a way out! Very nice course but the rough is unbearable.

Cello has such a hard time keeping the lid on his imagination, but you pulled it off here, I could feel you trying to be "normal" on this one, lovely course and really demanding approach shot making, and the trademark Cello very small tough greens! but enjoyable
