I'd bet the farm if you changed all your weeds to stock st andrew, stock national, or stock ocean course deep roughs, all lag would disappear...you used WAY to much of that weed library....best way to use weeds is to use a stock deep rough, and find a weed that matches, then us it SPARINGLY (especially since they always render horribly from a distance), only placing it places people will see it, ie near tees, around greens, near the landing spot of drives...check out the ocean course at kiawah to see what I mean, I used the deep weeds sparingly but effectively, you see them alot but they are only in places you can see em :)
even then the deep weeds can make lag...I tried the above approach on Lakota canyon, and it lagged, I totally removed the weed texture and all lag disappeared.
Hope this helps for future designs :)

Thanks to all for the comments. I appreicate it.
I still believe the lag during play might be coming from all of the bushes I used. I will try not to use so many objects on my later courses, and see if that tones down the lag.
I'll have another course uploaded within a month or so. :-)

Nice course but I to had to turn down my graphic setting to get the game play to run a bit smoother.

Excellent layout and design. Tough track where you have to be in the right position especially on the greens. Look forward to your next design. Enjoyed the walk.

Hey Danny, I went back and turned my graphix down and although I still have more lag then I feel I should, you do very nice work my friend.. The fairways are very smooth and the bunker work is pretty darn good.. Nice work!! Nice elevations work also!!!

Yeah, it could be the textures I used maybe. I'm not sure. I don't experience much lag when I play it. It could be the amount of objects that are used. There are a lot of bushes.

Yes Danny, that is true, however I shouldn't need to, this is not a course that really should have a lot of lag IMO.. It may be the libraries (tall weeds) that you used.. some tall weeds libraries lag a lot.. In the future just hollar and I will be happy to help in testing... Just my opinion though..

axe360, If you turn down your graphic settings from Very High to High or Medium, the lag goes away.
Anyhow, I might try to fix the lag, and post another version later.
