Another beautiful course from Stinger Design, with a nice suburban panorama far away, some elevation changes, and quite challenging, at times, with very narrow tree-lined fairways, but with no bunkers in sight, except near a couple of greens. On the front 9, my favorite holes are the straight par-4 1st, with a downhill tee shot and a scenic panoramic view of a big railroad bridge and part of the city far away, and the downhill par-3 3rd, with trees on the left, partially hiding the green. I also enjoyed the short par-4 5th hole, with its elevated green, slightly to the right, and the very short right dogleg par-5 6th, with its slightly-uphill tee shot and slightly-downhill green, where you should be able to putt for an eagle. The scenery then changes with the pretty par-3 7th hole, with a blind tee shot downward to the green, (framed by two small mounds in front), and the picturesque right dogleg par-4 8th, with a blind and downhill tee shot and an uphill approach to the green, set on a plateau (and with a small lake, way below on the left). The back 9 has some interesting holes too, such as the par-3 11th, more wide open and with an elevated green, the par-4 13th, with a blind and uphill tee shot and a green, slightly downhill to the left, but the one that really stands out is the gorgeous par-3 15th, with a spectacular panoramic view of the valley as you hit your blind and steeply-downhill tee shot toward the green. You will then need to hit two more blind tee shots on the short par-4 16th hole, downward to the green, and on the straight par-4 17th, with another nice panoramic view as you get close to the green, before hitting one final uphill approach to the elevated green on the par-4 18th hole. If this par 71 is very different from his (only) other course (Stinger G.C - Midwest), it is, nevertheless, very pretty and fun to play, especially considering that you won’t have to bring your bucket and spade ! But that does not mean that it is any easier as you will have to hit pretty accurate tee shots with all those narrow tree-lined fairways, and putt well on quite a few undulating greens in order to finish with a low scorecard...

Finally broke par on the front 9, now it's time to tackle the back 9 and see if I really am just a 'par' golfer. Love & hate the greens, a little advice, stay below the cup. Nice rolling, tree-lined & narrow fairways... love the challenge.. thx for the course.. e

A very enjoyable design. The layout was well thought out with enough bells and whistles to make play interesting. IMHO the design could have benefited from a few more well placed bunkers and I did have issues with a few of the greens. All things considered,I liked it. You have some work to do, however I will look forward to your next design.
