This par 72 has a wide open look and is well designed (as usual) by ron717, with a nice panorama, beautiful small retaining walls around the lakes, and is quite challenging, at times, with a few dogleg holes with elevated and undulating greens, next to the water.
Right off the bat, you will have to hit a precise tee shot to reach the green of the pretty par-3 1st hole, set next to a big lake on the left, before moving on to the left dogleg par-4 2nd, with another elongated lake, left of the green (and behind).
Then, after a few more dogleg holes, you will reach my favorite one, the right dogleg par-5 9th, with another small elongated lake, midway, to watch for, and a tough and long approach to the green, guarded by two small bunkers in front.
Coming back, I like the finishing stretch : the left dogleg par-5 14th hole has a wide bunker in front of the its elevated green and is followed by another par-5, the 15th, straight but shorter and nicer with a second shot over another big elongated lake to reach its wide island green.
More water awaits you on the pretty par-3 16th hole, with another tee shot over a lake before completing your round with the right dogleg par-4 18th, whose fairway is next to another elongated lake over which you will have to hit your approach to reach its wide and beautiful island green (already seen on the 15th).
Overall, despite subtle elevation changes and some nice well-placed bunkers and water hazards, you should score quite a few birdies, helped by the sound of a few... birds, on this nice Lake Morgan course, thanks to ron717’s talented imagination !
