Since the libraries used for this Sinfonia Club - Burrell course are the same as for the Mills one, you won’t be surprised anymore as you get ready to tee off on the very short (less than 280 yards) right dogleg par-4 1st hole, with its uphill tree-lined fairway (along nice homes on the right), and its risky second shot if you want to try to reach its green, hidden by trees. But if its beautiful panorama is the same, this par 72 is quite different as it is much shorter with, hardly, any water to deal with. On the front 9, the par-3 2nd hole, with a slightly-downhill tee shot toward its tiny green, the short left dogleg par-4 4th, with a big lake behind its wide green, and the par-4 7th, mostly straight but with a green, slightly to the right (with a nice view of the lake behind) are worth mentioning, along with the right dogleg par-5 8th, with its wide and slanted fairway and a long second shot toward the green, hidden by trees (on the right). But my favorite hole is the scenic and uphill par-3 9th, with nice homes spread halfway around behind its wide green. Coming back, I enjoyed the right dogleg par-4 13th hole with a second shot over a lake (across in front of the green), the left dogleg par-5 16th, with an undulated fairway and a slightly-elevated green, partially hidden by trees (on the right) and with a small lake (on the left), and the straight par-4 18th, with that covered bridge... seen on the Mills course, above an elongated lake behind the green. However, despite a few shots over some trees on a couple of holes (if you are in a gambling mood), this Burrell course is not as challenging as the Mills one where you are faced with plenty of shots over wide lakes, but that does not away the fact that it is still a nice course to play, thanks to cellist56 !

Which is the better design - who cares, they are both excellent designs. Enjoyed the walk. Looking forward to your next one.
