An enjoyable course, very encouraging for a first-time designer, not too difficult with its wide open fairways but pretty with its beautiful fences (mostly near and around the greens), sparsely-planted trees and small ponds, and a little bit tricky, at times, with some slightly elevated and/or undulating greens. After the wide open par-4 opening hole, with a blind and uphill tee shot toward its elevated green, the view of the par-3 2nd is quite nice, with a serpentine fence, all along on the right, and a tee shot flying slightly downward to the green, surrounded by a big slope. The par-5 3rd hole, on another hand, has a winding fairway, split by some deep rough and a tiny elongated pond, and a green, potentially reachable with a long second shot, but your best bet for an eagle might be on the other par-5 hole, the short dogleg 6th, bending sharply to the left, with a tee shot over some rough and a small pond, and a blind approach to the green, with plenty of small bunkers in front, left and right. I also like the par-3 7th hole, with a tee shot over some rough and a small lone tree, halfway, hiding the view of the downhill green. The back 9 has a few nice holes too, starting with the two par-3, the 10th, with a blind tee shot over some tall grass and a small elongated pond, midway, and the 12th, with another blind tee shot over more tall grass to reach the green. Another pretty hole is the short (around 325 yards) and straight par-4 13th, with a small pond to the right of the green (and a nice fence halfway around), but trying to reach its green from the tee box is quite risky, with some rough and a couple of small bunkers in front of it. Then, after facing another par-3 hole, the 15th, with a tee shot over a tiny pond, in the middle of the fairway, you will move on to the right dogleg par-5 16th, with a tee shot over a small mound, filled with rough, and a very long second shot toward the slightly-downhill and undulating green. Finally, after enjoying the par-3 17th hole, with an elevated green, hidden by a tiny tree in front, you will face the straight par-4 18th, slightly downhill all the way, with a tee shot over a big pond landing onto a large fairway, shared with the 1st hole and split in the middle by a few bunkers, before aiming your last approach toward the green, slightly to the left. Nicely designed and offering some nice countryside views, this par 70 is a pleasant surprise and, even though its name is a little misleading (as pointed by Tripel43...), it should not stop you from discovering Cellist56's three other courses !
