Beautiful course with a natural look, nice plantings and... blue lakes and ponds (not seen very often with TW07, LOL !). This par 72 has quite a few nice holes, starting with the short par-4 1st, quite tough with trees partially hiding the green, and continues with the dogleg par-3 3rd, with two lakes on the left side. Another challenging hole is the dogleg par-5 4th, with a very tough approach shot to the green over a lake and trees. But my favorite hole, on the front 9, is the very scenic par-3 5th, with its narrow path leading to the peninsula green : simply superb ! The back 9 starts with some nice but not too tough holes, such as the par-5 11th and par-4 12th, with lakes on the left side, and the pretty left dogleg par-4 15th with the river/creek on both sides of the fairway. But, just like on the front 9, with the 5th hole, there is one hole that stands out : the beautiful par-3 16th, with its green guarded by big bunkers and a meandering river/creek nearby with a nice small island behind the green. With a couple of nice wooden bridges to look at and some challenging holes, with trees and water hazards in the way, this Crosswinds Golf Club is very enjoyable, thanks to Sammy's designing talent !

Outstanding design. Fantasy courses can be either literal or figurative - this is obviously the latter and the layout is brilliant. I'll go on a limb, it's even worthy of a major - I think it's that good. Fave holes were 12 and 15 but many gems. Sammy, you have a calling - this is awesome. Cheers!

A well crafted course with a natural feel. I liked the opening hole, the 10th with the island in the lake, and 15th with the bridge rock and the creek or river running along the right side. Nice bunker, water, greens, fairways. {IMO) thought maybe some shorter rough around the tee boxes would have been better and thought this course suffers with the lack of a pano. Thought more plants to bring in some more life to the course and more vary in tree height to help reduce those long view under all those tree trunks. Still a great course and fun to play thank you for sharing.

Excellent layout and design with nice natural textures. Favourite hole the first of the par threes. It would of been even more visual if not for the ever present rough in front of the tee box. Enjoyed the walk and look forward to your next one.

Don't really know what all the complaining is about, this is the most natural looking course ive seen in a while (IMHO lol). Think one needs to set your game at 1280 x 1024 and with grafix set at maximum on everything, then you appreciate whats going on. First rate course, nice to play, well done, 4****

While I have come to appreciate this designers work, see Pipers, Sawmill & Royal Ontario in particular, I did not feel this was one of his best designs. All the designers here are to be lauded and encouraged for their hard work in bringing us these wonderful courses. Me personaly, I cant draw a straight line, therefore at times it is hard for me to be critical. IMHO I believe strongly that this designer has the talent to take his work to another level. The layout of this course reminded me of a few real courses I have played over the years. The greens wer fine IMHO however I felt they could stand a bit more character, ie. false fronts & elevation changes etc . The fairways were nicely done and the sand traps are first rate, though the fairway traps might have been placed in better situational locations. I did not care for the rough in front of every tee box or the positioning of a few trees on certain tee's. I thought the par 3 16th hole was quite an immaginative design and I hope to see many more like it in the not to distant future.

Really good course this! enjoyed all 18 holes. great choice of libs and I rate it an easy 4 star. just my opinion but did not think the bridges matched this course would have sooner seen stonewall bridges, as that bridge texture did not fit, but thats nothing but my taste. HEY! cannot wait for your next course!
