Gorgeous fantasy course that could easily be classed as real with such beautiful high ridges all around, nice plantings and lakes. With its wide fairways and smooth greens, give or take a couple of tricky ones, this par 72 plays very smoothly and is very enjoyable. On the front 9, I like the three par-5 holes : the long left dogleg 3rd has a lake splitting the fairway midway through and a nice view of the ridges in front, the 6th hole is a right dogleg, with water in the middle and the green, hidden by trees, on the left side, and the 8th hole is a left dogleg with an uphill tee shot, a rollercoaster fairway and a slightly downhill tiny green. In between, the par-3 7th hole is worth mentioning too with its green very close to the lake. Coming back, the right dogleg par-4 10th hole has a nice view from the tee with the lake in front, but my favorite hole is the very scenic par-3 11th, with its downhill green at the bottom of the high ridges. The other par-3 13th hole is quite nice too with all its beautiful trees near the ridges. The last few holes offer different challenges : the left dogleg par-4 14th hole has a rollercoaster fairway and a slightly downhill green, just like the "cute" par-3 15th hole, whereas the par-5 16th follows the lake to the right all the way to the green. As for the long par-5 18th hole, it is quite spectacular with its big lake in the middle, making your approach shot to the green, next to impossible but leaving you with a chance for a final birdie. Neil Munro, once again, came up with a great course where the high ridges fit in very well with the landscape, making it a definite keeper and one of the best "fantasy" courses around...

Beautiful course, Neil - lovely to behold & lovely to play. Like Jimbo, you seem to relish the freedom to create when it comes to fantasy courses & aren't restricted by what "should" be there. Although as a few earlier comments said, this course FEELS real - which is probably the best compliment it could get...

Very nice course. After playing it I had to come back to see if it was a real course or a fantasy course, it was that well done. I know if I played this in real life I would have to take many golf balls with me. I would lose them in the water.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, they really are much appreciated.
BGrav (Not Bill) Not usre if you actually wanted to see it but Ive sent you a pic of the shotpath for 18th anyway. Didn't quite get the extreme left of fairway showing but it was close enough I think. 10th hole was too close the the edge but I was so far into the course that I had to leave it. Tried to screen the edge with trees but it didn't work 100%. I don't use pano's. I'm not keen on how they appear and recede when following a ball in flight. Most of my courses will have either hills or sea at the edge of the plot to compensate.

Very well thought out design Neil...I really liked #2 the short par 4 carved into the hill and the monster 18..id like to see the shot path for that hole...I also liked the ridge you used down the course, in lieu of a Pano mabey? Only thing I could nitpick is the void behind 10...hardly a dealbreaker though
This course is definitly pro style and certainly shows off yer talents...thanks for making it.

WOW.....WOW...and WOW....This is 1 of the best courses ever made for this game. I simply couldn't wait to get to the next hole to see what was in store. The plantings, green textures, layout and everything about this course was excellent. This course will be played many times, I guarentee that. The 18th hole was just a spectacular finishing hole. I will enjoy playing this track many more times for sure. Great job Neil!!!

Now thats an Idea Taxi, I remember you suggested Cairdie before but it would have ended up a pitch and putt as its so short.(and I'm not talking about the 9 holer :)) Not really in the mood for a real course ATM as JJhold and I are still working on Muirfield and Castle Stuart but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks all for comments.

Applause, applause as the crowd roars its approval of another 'Signature' course by one of this sites Master Designers. Without being told who designed this course you would know instantly as you approached the first tee that it was a Munroco Design. There is a unique quality to his designs that is all his own. The attention to detail, the feel that you are playing on a real course and the expectation as you confront each new hole wondering what delights awiat you around the bend on the next hole. For example the short par 3 7th hole; elegant in its simplicity it none the less is a microcosm of the entire course in general......outstanding! I Could go on but I suppose Iv'e made my point. 4+****
