Gorgeous sun-lit small mountain panorama and a very nice landscape : this par 72 has plenty of scenic holes, especially on the back 9, more challenging. This course has quite a few downhill tee shots and you will need to think twice about club selection to reach some elevated greens. On the front 9, I like the donwhill right dogleg par-5 2nd hole and its uphill green, the par-4 8th, with its little creek running midway across the fairway and the nice view around the par-4 9th green, with the clubhouse and a small gazebo nearby. The back 9 is prettier, starting with the gorgeous back-to-back par-5 14th and 15th holes. The 14th has a beautiful view from the tee, with small fences on both sides and a great downhill view of the fairway with a small hill on the left side, whereas the 15th comes back the other way and has an elevated green. I also like the picturesque par-3 17th, with a small pond on the left side. Overall, axe360 designed a very nice fantasy course, which looks quite real and is fun to play, which is why I will definitely keep it !

Beautiful course and a really enjoyable layout. I prefer fantasy courses that maintain some realism and this one had it in spades - very much felt like a real course. Apart from obvious visual appeal, I really enjoyed the balance to this course.. I started off well then was tamed for a few holes, before hitting a wee purple patch on the back, only to be reeled in again by the end. Throughout there are birds to be made but they don't come too easy - and on the flipside if you go astray it's not unnecessarily difficult to recover. Summed up, just a real pleasure to play and I loved it. A brilliant design, cheers!

Just finished my first round here & when I got to this page to leave a comment, noticed the description says fantasy course. It's been a while since I downloaded the course & once I got into playing it, assumed it was a real one. Picturesque valley setting, with a few neat ideas scattered throughout the course, like the huge bunker which almost surrounds the 6th green, the plants & rocks in a bunker on the 13th, plus the double fairways on the 15th. Thank you for another marvellous course, Larry...

Excellent design. Agree with all that has been said. I played in afternoon setting and the sunshine on the golden ridge made it a very special walk. Well done.

axe360 I read your comment about telling you like it is about your course even before I played it. I like it and I was looking for something that bothered me but I didn't find any. I guess you will have to try again. thanks for the course.

hey Larry Man...Great course. I think this course has everything you do well. Smart layout, good clean design, well placed structures that catch yer eye but aren't in yer face. I really liked the back to back par 5's..14 and 15 I think. your courses always have such a clean defined, tight look and this one is no exception.
Its hard to give any critism here as beauty is in the eye of the beholder...I think you could have had more plantings around your plot edge, i think you could have added more detail to your rock work especially on 14 and 15. i think you could take more chances and contradict your perfect clean approach....think outside the box a little...but ultimately, keep designing courses you like to play.
your courses are always clutch man and this one is no exception. Thanks for your hard work

Outstanding course Larry! You know.....you can't stop designing courses now. You simply must continue. This course plays extremely well with plenty of eye candy.

I wanted to ask anyone who had any ideas on how I can improve on my courses if they would either post here or pm me. I could use some constuctive criticism. I know some don't like to do it publicly because they feel they may be taken wrong or that the architect will be offended. Trust me, I am never offended by constructive criticism, it's what helps me grow.. So either pm me or post a comment on improvements or whatever and I will be most appreciative.. Thanks again to all who have already commented, It's always gr8 to hear folks like what I've done.. Axe

Great to see you're still designing for us TW08 junkies. I love all your courses and this one is outstanding. Very realistic from tee to green, with plenty of eye candy and detail. Thanks Larry and keep them coming.

Nice job Larry 4****. The course design and layout were 'well planned'and executed nicely.. Many of the holes I felt were quite unique, as was the Pano. IMHO the greens were fine with enough tricky breaks to make you a tad uncomfortable with the read. All in all an enjoyable course that I'll play more than once. Thanks for your effort, its much appreciated.
