What a marvelous golf course !
Just seeing the overall view of the par-4 1st hole should convince you that this par-72 is a masterpiece : with an unbelievable and very detailed panorama, even far away, gorgeous homes, superb plantings and smooth fairways, greens and your usual amount of bunkers, you are going to have... a ball playing in Liverpool !
This course, set on high grounds, has a lot of downhill holes, some of them short enough for you to be tempted to reach the green from the tee, such as on the first 5 holes, but with a few obstacles on the way (trees, bunkers).
Of the front 9, I like the dogleg to the right par-4 1st hole, the par-4 3rd, with its gorgeous views of English homes near the tee, just like the par-5 6th and 8th holes. The par-3 7th hole, with its elevated green, and the par-3 9th, with its view of the houses around, are nice too.
Most holes on the back 9 are pretty straight forward with the par-3 14th, with its gorgeous view and a small pond in front of the green, being my favorite. The short dogleg to the left par-5 15h will offer you one last chance for an eagle if you can hit a nice approach shot over the trees.
I spent a little bit of time on this course just replaying my shots, both with the camera view and the reverse camera view, simply to admire the gorgeous scenery and landscape. I hope you will too and enjoy this incredible, if not too challenging, course designed by Jimbo63...

In reply to Pitbull's remark: I know I can turn off the ambient sounds, but then I also loose the sound of the club hitting the ball.
Silence is a nice thing nowadays, but complete silence at the golfcourse is another thing.

Closest to where I was born & raised in my old home town, so I'd HAVE to rate it 5*! Fear not, Jim - after seeing it & playing it, I'd have given it 5* no matter WHERE it was. AbFab...
Rod Taylor & Tippi Hedren are still alive, though - I certainly had no problem hearing The Birds!

Many thanks for leaving a comment. Tripel43 in answer to your question re the bird sounds, I have reduced the sound quite a lot. I love bird sounds on my courses, it enhances my enjoyment when playing the courses.

Nice course again, but what about the birds (sounds)?
Alfred Hitchcock is dead (and so is Daphne DuMaurier, I suppose),so I can't ask them.
So I ask the designer himself.
Nevertheless a four stars course
