I will add, on my latest round at Old Head, I hit my second shot on the par 4 a bit left, hit the rocks, bounded behind the green where it hit more rocks, bounded right of the green where it hit more rocks, and ended up in the greenside rough right of the pin - and I chipped in for a birdie. Of course, this happens to me all the time in real golf, but rarely in TW, so thanks to Jimbo, and perhaps to the original designer of the course!

Another great links course with massive elevations, one of my favorite courses. Thanks Jimbo.

This is a course that Alfred Hitchcock would have loved as you will definitely get vertigo, mainly on the first few holes and the last ones ! On the plus side, this par 72 is well done, with sparse but nice plantings for a links course. The color of the sea is beautiful and you get to hear the waves on a few holes too. With great elevation work, tough but fair greens and very scary cliffs, this course plays well and is "fun" to play. On the minus side, I am not too fond of the textures used for the cliffs but I guess it must be very hard to find some looking like the real ones... After an ordinary par-4 1st hole, you quickly get a taste of things to come as the par-4 2nd hole has cliffs on the left side, only visible from the tee when you click on "Find the flag". The par-3 3rd hole looks easy until you see the green, real close to the edge of the cliffs. The par-4 4th hole is superb with a tee shot over the cliffs and its blind approach shot to the elevated green surrounded by big rocks. If you haven't lost all your balls by then, the par-4 5th and par-5 6th are nice holes with downhill tee shots and uphill approach shots to the greens. On the back 9, the very, very short dogleg to the right par-5 10th hole (less than 400 yards !) will offer you a chance for an eagle, just like the longer par-5 12th hole, very pretty with it slanted fairway on top of the promontory. I also like the par-4 15th hole, with its nice downhill view from the tee spot. As you reach the par-3 16th, it will be time again to take your pills as your tee shot will fly over the cliffs to (hopefully) land on the wide green. Even scarier, the par-5 17th is simply awesome, especially the second shot over the cliffs where, with a little bit of Irish luck, you might be able to reach the green downhill. You will then be rewarded with a nice par-4 18th hole with an uphill approach shot to the green and the clubhouse... With scary holes at the start and near the finish, combined with other beautiful holes, especially on the back 9, this course is a must for links lovers, thanks to the great job done by Jimbo63.
P.S. If you want to have a glimpse at the real course, here is a link with flyovers on every hole : https://www.oldhead.com/golf.html

Enjoyable course that was let down by a poor cliff texture.

Nice to see something different for a change. I thought it to be a good layout overall. I would have given it 3 1/2 stars.

With the Dubliners singing "the Irish Rover", "setting sail from the sweet cove of Cork" in the background, it was a pleasure to play this course. Moreover I'm fond of all kind of links courses, so you can imagine, I had a great time playing the Old Head of Kinsale. All honors to Jimbo!

always like these links course and I like your choice of textures especially the rock textures around the greens also nice sea sounds which sometimes people forget to include. holes 15,16,17 a guy can get vertigo, scary stuff! but I played okay on it a Jimbo63 special one for the collection.
