Four years after Danut Golf, Neil Munro came up with his version and I must say it is a great one.
While the 2007 version was nice, Neil added some plantings and changed a few things around (such as the clubhouse and a little bit of the layout) which, visually, makes a difference.
What does not change, however, is the toughness of this course. The front 9 plays well with some narrow fairways and lots of bunkers, but my favorite holes are the par-3 7th with a big tee shot over the water and the par-5 9th, a dogleg with water to the left, a preview of what is coming up on the back 9.
If the par-4 10th has a narrow fairway, the par-5 12th is even better looking with its S-shaped fairway.
But the best holes start right after : the very sharp dogleg to the right par-5 13th, followed by my favorite hole, the dogleg par-5 15th with your tee shot flying endlessly over the sea and the tiny green at the edge, the par-3 16th with a similar shot and, finally, the par-3 17th, an island green.
With a nice view around the green of the par-4 18th, you will be glad to have played in one of Sweden's most famous golf course, thanks to the great work done by Neil Munro...
P.S. If you have a chance, try comparing the two versions and you will see how some holes give you a very different impression. On the 15th and 16th holes, for example, Danut Golf's version really makes you feel like you reach the end of the world... as everything is so bare around. It is a strange feeling but it is nice in a way... but I let you be the judge !

The only problem I have with this course is that the ratings have been turned off, so I can't award it a well-deserved 5* - consider it done here, Neil. Ditto jjhold's choice of fave holes, with 7 & 9 thrown in for good measure. I played this straight after Bleeding Sands, so have had a day of fabulous "water" courses & even managed to stay dry for the duration...

Gr8 rendition of the course that host the Scandinavian Masters. The real course is located not far from where I live so its absolutely fantastic to see how u made it looks exactly like the real deal. Tyvm for a job well done Neil.

Neil, great rendition. Truly fun and challenging layout(as my scores at CGX will attest). The course is still slower loading from green to tee, but well worth the wait.

Thanks Tripel, for some reason the overhead shots tend to use elevations from the Previous holes. I have no idea why, just part of the course architect programme which doesnt quite work properly.

Nice course (to look at and to play on)
Landscape looks somewhat like here in Holland.
One question to the designer: on the topviews are dark blue lines visible, like a brook, twisting through the landscape of almost every hole (but the brook is not really there) ; what do they mean?

Neil, Ed sorry to show my ignorance (not difficul) but not heard of the course, I do not follow Pro golf as much as I should. Yes agreed this is one of your best made courses.

Ed, of all the courses I've made this ranks as one of my favourites. It's a fantastic course and one of the few that I really enjoy playing. Phil, this is the course that the Euro tour has just finished playing, won by Alexander Noran of Sweden by an impressive 7 shots. A lot of the top players missed it this week, but a couple of the top Americans turned up to play what must be one of the most challenging courses on the Race to Dubai

Bro Hof Slott, 7607 yards, the longest course on the European Tour. This has long been one of my favorite courses to play and your design has definitly proven why it is amongst my 'fav's'. Thanx Neil, this is a gr8 design and truly plays like you are in Stockholm.. I watched them play this weekend and the wind was in the range of 25MPH.. plenty of white-caps on the lake.. again TYVM
