Another spectacular course, designed by axe360, with a wide-open prairie and the Devil’s Tower as a panorama (visible on quite a few holes), and quite colorful with different trees and knee-high yellow deep rough all around the course.
This par 73 plays very smoothly and all holes are slightly downhill with, for the most part, breathtaking panoramic views, such as on the par-4 1st hole, downhill all the way to the green, with a little pond on the left side midway and a big bunker on the other side of the fairway.
The downhill par-3 2nd hole is cute with a big bunker across and a little bridge over and a sheltered… vending machine (on the right side of the green) and is followed by the very nice left dogleg par-5 3rd, with a little creek across midway and an elevated green.
Then, after the left dogleg par-4 4th hole, with its slanted fairway all the way to the green, you will reach the short (about 300 yards) par-4 5th, straight downhill to the green, potentially reachable from the tee but tough, with a bunker in front, and the nice Devil’s Tower as a backdrop (just like on the par-3 6th hole).
The straight downhill par-4 7th hole is not difficult but it has three bunkers spread apart in the middle of the fairway, and the short (about 500 yards) par-5 8th, with two big bunkers on both sides of the fairway midway, and two smaller ones surrounding the green (slightly to the right), is relatively “easy” too... just like the straight downhill par-4 9th hole, with a tee shot over a little pond.
While the front 9 has some nice holes, I prefer the back 9, more scenic and varied, starting with the downhill par-4 10th hole, with a fairway twisting left, then right, and a nice serpentine path on the right of the green, followed by the downhill par-4 11th, with an undulated fairway, narrower halfway through.
But the best holes are yet to come !
If the downhill par-3 12th is pretty with a tee shot over a big lake (and another sheltered vending machine on the right… with a little lamp post, to the left), the downhill par-4 13th hole is gorgeous, with a twisted fairway, a big elongated creek across halfway through (with a nice little bridge) and a superb panoramic view.
The par-5 15th hole is not to be overlooked either, with its lone tree (and sand trap around) in the middle of the fairway and a green, slightly to the left, with a bunker in front and three more on the right.
Finally, after the downhill right dogleg par-4 16th hole and its very narrow fairway, you will finish your round with the downhill right dogleg par-5 18th, with bunkers in the left corner of the slanted fairway and two more bunkers on both sides of the green, with a wider one on the left !
As usual, when you download one of axe360’s courses, you can’t go wrong and this one is no exception : despite quite a few straight downhill holes, its beautiful views, narrow fairways and water hazards (especially on the back 9), along with a few well-placed bunkers and trees, make this course another gem to keep…

Don't be fooled by the name - what sounds like a tight little working environment is actually a huge open valley. The Devil's Tower is looking familiar - seen it on quite a few courses now, but since I'm a latecomer to the site this could be one of its first appearances for all I know. Anyway, it works well with the layout, which seems to get tougher towards the end - there's some really narrow fairways to try & hit! I came straight here after playing Larry's Yucaipa & there's a real contrast in styles, which is great to see. Thanks again for these finely crafted courses...

Played several rounds on this course today, thanks, very enjoyable! Tough but not too tough for a newbie like me, just right. And it looks good. Well placed trees on some holes, they were horribly in the way on numerous occasions, so good job with that I guess, hahaha. Here we go with the driver. Thwack! Swoooosh! This shot's not gonna go down too well... Plop! Doctor McCord, there's a tree blocking the shot to the green... Well it started getting in my head, I started shaping my shots away from some known problematic timber. Into some other trouble on the other side without fail!

Fun course man, good job.

Thanks again to everyone!.. To golfrick007, only trouble on 1 pin? Darn.. All pins were tested on vdry, advanced and all were found to be able to land the ball where it would hold the green. I went back and retried and yes it is tough, that's what I had intended but it will hold... Also to Bullpupp about some narrow fairways, just try Sawgrass or Pebble, I believe they to have some narrow fairways but all comments are taken into consideration and I am thankful for the constructive criticism... Out!!!!

Good job on this one axe! Enjoyed my round the only thing had trouble with was one of the pin on 2 with very dry green.

Looks and plays great. The course and pano blend seamlessly for a very realistic and scenic appearance. It's challenging but fair. A keeper for sure, 5 stars. Thanks Axe

Just stunning looking! And a gem of a course too. Some great layouts to make you think hard on the tee shots. V dry Gusty, expert: really enjoyed, played well and scored well, but really had to work hard on some putts. Some pins were a very tough challenge, but then if golf was meant to be easy.......
Great course Larry - an absolute Gem, thanks very much :)

Awesome!! This course is one of the best yet. I especially like the Pano, it reminds me of the area around Scottsbluff Nebraska. I hope one of the tournament sites uses this course for a Tourney( hint hint ).

Just played this one and a great course, not easy but very enjoyable, have to say ads comment "At last, a fantasy course worthy of downloading" is bit strong, there are some well established designers making wonderfull fantasy courses, so that comment was really unfair, I am sure Axe would say the same.
