Very interesting course with very... interesting and opposite comments !
After playing this par-72, I have ambivalent feelings : on one hand, this course plays nicely and the panorama is gorgeous (especially the sea (?) and the villas), but I am not sure the Chicago suburbs look that beautiful... (then again, I may be wrong !).
On another hand, it is true that the colors of the fairways are a little bit on the bright side, especially compared to the... paleness of the greens. But, in fact, what "disturbed" me the most, was the unnatural look of the edges around the lakes, too "whitish" (such as on the par-5 2nd, par-3 3rd and par-5 18th holes, for example).
As for the slopey greens, they can be quite tricky but, obviously, it depends where you are putting from : if you try to land your approach shots so that you can putt uphill, you can finish with a low score on this course.
For all these reasons, I would not rank this course as one of the best I have ever played, but it has potential to be a very nice course with a few minor updates...

I agree with morub...slope on greens are terrible....also I feel that the color green is too
bright...abit to cartoonish....come on JP I know that you can do better!!!!!

Course is a dismal failure on expert very dry, greens have severe rollback.

I like it ! Nice flow to it. Has the up north feel to it. Wish putting grid was easier to see. I could see playing this course for real. Well Done.
