A well-designed course with nice “blue” hazy mountains, not overly difficult with wide fairways and smooth and, at times, slick greens, but with a few elongated lakes to contend with, mostly on the back 9, more challenging. My favorite holes on the front 9 are the par-4 1st hole, with a fairway twisting left then right, with a lake on the left of the tee and a creek to the right, not far from the green (hidden by trees), the sharp dogleg to the right par-5 2nd, with an elongated lake on the left side (with a nice clubhouse a little bit behind), and the left dogleg par-5 5th hole, with a lake to the right of the fairway (with the clubhouse to the right) all the way to the green. After the left dogleg par-4 6th hole, a little bit similar to the 5th but with the lake (on the right) coming into play only on your approach shot, and the par-3 7th hole, with its nice panoramic view of the blue mountains, the last two holes are similar right doglegs, with the first one having a small lake on the right of the green to watch for. On the back 9, I like the left dogleg par-4 11th hole, slightly uphill with two small lakes (on the right, then further on the left) but with no real impact on your shots as they are not too close to the fairway. The par-5 13th hole is quite nice, with a lake to the left of the fairway all the way to the green and is followed by the par-4 14th, a little bit similar but with a tee shot over the lake, running across from the right to the left. I also like the right dogleg par-4 15th hole, with a lake on the left side (in the corner) and an approach shot over part of it, and the left dogleg par-5 16th, similar to the 5th, with the lake on the right side of the fairway all the way to the green. Finally, after teeing off over a lake, flowing across the par-3 17th hole, you will finish your round with the pretty right dogleg par-4 18th, with a lake on the left side and an approach shot over part of it, with the cluhhouse, further back to the left. Black Horse Country Club is not a difficult course but it looks pretty (even without flowers, (except near the tee on one hole) and with deep rough all around the fairways and a few water hazards to deal with, ron717 did a nice job designing it !

Great design. The fours are a challenge to get to the corners (from the pro peg's) and have the opportunity to have a crack at the greens. Par fives are reachable in two as they should be. To combat the slick greens turn on wet but crank up the wind to offset. Again, a great design from the premier designer.

Ron, I particularly enjoyed the billy's fast green choice. If anyone has ever played them, they should know they are slick slicer and slickest of them all. Pick you green conditions carefully.
I really enjoyed my round on your course.

Very nicely done course. Looks and plays real. Requires good course management by the golfer. Ran very smooth for me. Pretty looking course. Greens seemed a little faster than usual but I like that. The bird sounds were neat. Thanks for making this one. I enjoyed it.
