I sound like a broken record, but there are so many simply great courses, I've run out of things to say. Aussie outback - love Australia - a fantasy course that is a real course, all the shots I had went true, not an easy course but a fair one, and be careful, there are a few shot that will bite you if you're not paying attention. Hope Jumbo63 drops by and reads the comments, our thanks to you.

Well, if you want to get away from traditional-looking golf courses, then pack your bags and head for the beautiful Jarrow Hills in Australia where, besides a nice clubhouse on a hilltop and some flying birds, you will be all alone on this par 72, quite challenging with its gorgeous small mountains, elevated terrain, sparsely-planted trees, and plenty of blind shots with deep rough all around. After a gentle start with the par-4 1st hole, with a slightly-uphill blind shot landing between rolling hills, you will face the beautiful left dogleg par-4 2nd, with another blind tee shot, but this time steeply downhill, and an uphill shot to the elevated green, with a nice view of the small mountains behind. With a little luck (and plenty of... tail wind !), you might be able to reach the green from the tee on the short (about 315 yards), straight and slightly-uphill par-4 3rd hole to have an eagle opportunity ; if not, then you might have a better chance on the short (about 500 yards) right dogleg par-5 4th, with a blind and downhill tee shot, a slanted fairway and its elevated green. Then, after the par-3 5th hole, with deep rough between the tee box and the flag, you will need to hit two uphill shots on the right dogleg par-4 6th to reach the green, before heading for the pretty par-3 7th hole, with a gentle slope on the right, near the tee, and a downhill tee shot flying over deep rough again. The right dogleg par-5 8th hole is quite short (about 495 yards), with another blind uphill tee shot over a small slope, filled with deep rough (in front of the tee) and an elevated green, and is followed by the... short (about 350 yards) par-4 9th where, with your uphill tee shot and a big slope downhill halfway, you should get close to the green. As mentioned by other players, you will have to be careful on the left dogleg par-4 10th hole, with another blind and uphill tee shot over a small hill (covered with deep rough), and its small green, with a bunker in front on the left and a big slope behind. After a couple of straight and slightly-uphill holes (par-4 11th, par-3 12th) and the dogleg par-4 13th, with a downhill slope halfway and a green, slightly to the left, you will have a nice panoramic view while hitting your blind and downhill tee shot on the straight par-3 14th hole. But the last few holes are among my favorites : the left dogleg par-5 15th is quite short (about 470 yards), with a heavily-slanted fairway and requires two blind and uphill shots to reach the green, and is followed by the short (about 310 yards) and beautiful left dogleg par-4 16th hole where, If you are in a gambling mood, you can reach the hidden green with a blind and downhill tee shot over a couple of trees and a few small bunkers in front on the left ! Then, after the left dogleg par-4 17th hole, with its slightly-uphill tee shot and elevated green, you will finish with the very scenic left dogleg par-5 18th, quite short (about 460 yards) with a downhill tee shot landing onto a slanted fairway (near a big hill on the right), and an elevated green at the bottom of a hill, with that big clubhouse, behind, overlooking the valley. With this Jarrow Hills course, quite short but breathtaking, Jimbo63 did it again, and you will definitely enjoy your round down under or, should I say... up and down under !

A corker, as we'd say 'down under', this is a really great course and definitely nails the Aussie bush feel. The layout is a very good one, with plenty of undulating fairways and differing hole structure.. bunkers are cleverly-situated and greens are challenging but fair; I found the difficulty level was perfectly balanced. Also loved the variety required in approach shots, it added to the realism and enjoyment. No water to speak of but that's in keeping with rural Oz - gets a bit dry out there but it's still its own kind of beauty. And lastly, the lovely bird sounds - ahh nothing beats a Oz magpie warbling in the morning! Brilliant work this - I may be biased hehe but I'd rate it one of Jimbo's best originals, lag or not. Cheers!

Excellent work as always, Jimbo. Ditto most of the previous comments, with the emphasis on Aussie bush, but certainly not outback - that's a whole new ballgame! Glad I read Putt's comment re the 10th green before starting. I managed to keep below the hole, but watched one of my virtual opponents' shot disappear over the top. They also had their work cut out putting up that steep slope on the 6th green.

Thanks for leaving a comment. Putt, I do not think that there is a course life file with kangaroos in it . . . lol.

Good course Jimbo. You sure know how to sculpture a landscape. Was careful about my approach to the tenth green to avoid the dip at the back. Saw a deer but no roos.

Great stuff! Now I know what it would be like to play golf in the Australian outback. Excellent elevation work. I did have a little lag, but I adjusted the "grass" level in the graphic settings from very high to high and that smoothed it out. Thanks Jimbo - 5 stars

I believe the designer has no time to sleep, or otherwise his wife must have run away: so many nice courses in such a short time: how do you manage that, Mr. Jimbo? I'm your fan.... Excellent course again. Four stars.
