Excellence again from Jimbo, a great course with a realistic feel and very nice visual. Several holes tickled my irons but the 12th was the best. Enjoyed it throughout, a course to savour, and a brilliant design, cheers!

What a nice surprise to discover this course... unlike any other ! For once, this is not your usual links course as there are no undulated fairways but, instead, I was faced, sometimes, with no fairways at all (the par-3 1st and 3rd holes being perfect examples) ! This par-71 is spectacular in its own way. On the downhill par-5 4th hole, you have a nice overview of the town on your approach shot and the sea, while the par-4 5th hole is a nice dogleg to the right. If the par-4 8th hole is nice too, near the town, the par-4 9th will offer you a glimpse of the railroad track with a train on it (on the right side, as you tee off)! On the back 9, the par-3 12th hole has a very nice view of the villas lined up next to the road (on the right) and the par-4 16th is pretty too with the little stream running across the fairway. But my favorite hole is the gorgeous par-5 18th with its spectacular view of the whole town (or so it seems !). From the railroad track to the town, from the sea to the manicured fairways (when there are some !), this course is a gem that you should hurry to download. "Wales" done, Jimbo63 !

A touch of nostalgia for me. Not quite home like stevehal, but a place I visited every year when I was a child - just a ferry ride away from Liverpool. Too young to know the golf course, but I spent a lot of time at the seaside there. So the Llandudno name sparked my curiosity, but being a Jimbo creation, I knew it had to be a great course. Praise be to Maesdu, O Maestro...

I read the name of the course and wondered where it could, or maybe just an imaginary place. Google (that knows everything) told me northern Wales. All right.... Beautiful course (4 stars), played smoothly, except for one hole where I landed into the broom, which was my mistake of course. Tell me, Mr. Jimbo or other designers, who make all those nice courses: is there special software available to do this; I'm interested....

Haven't played it, only looked at pictures, but I loved the road with the hedgerows, really well done and very realistic looking. I will be stealing that idea for sure.

Thanks for leaving a comment. Yes this is based on a real course near Llandudno, North Wales. Maesdu is the Welsh name, or Llandudno Golf Club if you prefer.
