In terms of plantings, waste areas, fairways and bunkers, MSR Golf did a great job as usual and the course looks great.
However (and this has nothing to do with his designing talent), I found its layout rather dull with plenty of straight holes.
If water is present, it is not near the green except for a couple of holes. For once, I do not have any favorite holes but will only mention the nice view of the par-3 14th and the gorgeous clubhouse on the par-4 18th (along with the "Sea Oaks" sign).
I also found a few tee markers... levitating (like on the 14th and 15th holes, for example), which convinced me not to keep this course, a first from all the courses MSR Golf has created over the years...

Really really dig this course....I love the undulating greens....while I didn't play every pin, the ones I did were tough but fair on VD, i like the challenge.
Nice on the grass bunkers too.
well done to you sir....well done.

Nice course for the most part with the exception of some of the greens. The 9th green comes close to being unplayable on very dry. The easy pin placement on that hole is right on a hill. Just turns into one of those unrealistically hard uphill putts where you either sink it or the ball comes back to your feet.
Some more testing on very dry would be appreciated in the future.

Great course MSR. The waste areas were very realistic. Edges to the ponds were good. Colors of the buildings were good but could appear very dark when shaded by the trees. Layout of course was good. Course ratings are OFF but I would have given this one five stars.

Yes I agree a very outstanding job, the layout is super, What really will keep you on the course is when you finish a hole you say wonder what the next one is like, yep you will go and drive to it, Am sure this will make its way to the Elete Club tournaments, Keep up your great work

Another great job from a first-class designer. The course played smoothly and I enjoyed my round. Awesome clubhouse and complex with great attention to detail. The texture use in the waste areas looked very real and holes 14 to 18 were brilliant. Keep up the superb work, I look forward to your next course.
