The first things you will notice on this par 72 are the immaculate fairways and the rough, neatly trimmed around them, before concentrating, after the first few holes, on avoiding scary cliffs with your tee shots on the front 9, and some very narrow fairways on your way back. After two nice right dogleg par-4 holes, with a small pond in the right corner, halfway, on the 1st, and a tee shot over deep rough (in front, and to the left) landing near plenty of trees, midway on the right, followed by a blind and slightly-uphill approach to the green on the 2nd, you will need to hit a blind and uphill tee shot to reach the par-3 3rd hole, in order to see the nice church, a little bit further behind, on the right. The scenery changes drastically on the short (less than 290 yards) par-4 4th hole, with a blind tee shot downward to the green, set above a high cliff with a big rock formation across in the middle of a lake further behind. Another scary hole awaits you with the left dogleg par-5 5th, with its narrow fairway hugging the cliff on the left side all the way to the green, slightly to the left and quite tricky to reach with a blind approach and the cliff behind... Fortunately, the right dogleg par-4 6th hole will take you more inland, but you will have to be careful with your tee shot as the fairway is quite narrow too, before moving on to the pretty par-3 7th, with deep rough between the tee box and its green, set at the bottom of a small hill. The par-5 8th hole is quite picturesque with a blind and downhill tee shot landing onto a very narrow and sloped fairway (above more fairways and the lake, below on the far left), and an uphill approach shot to the green, whereas the straight par-4 9th is a risk/reward hole, with its narrow fairway and its reachable green (about 270 yards away) guarded by four wide bunkers in front and around. The back 9 starts with the nice right dogleg par-4 10th hole, with a blind tee shot and another very narrow fairway and a slightly-elevated green, and is followed by the nice left dogleg par-4 11th, with a blind and downhill tee shot over a small creek and trees, further behind, halfway. Then, after three relatively easy holes, the short (about 340 yards) par-4 12th, slightly uphill, the left dogleg par-4 13th, with two elongated bunkers on both sides of the uphill fairway, midway, and the slightly-uphill par-3 14th, you will face the short (about 330 yards) but tough left dogleg par-4 15th hole, where you should play it safe and hit a... blind and downhill tee shot over deep rough to land onto a very narrow tree-lined fairway, rather than try to go over the trees on the left side to reach the green. If the left dogleg par-5 16th hole looks similar, it is, instead, slightly uphill all the way and, if you can manage to land your tee shot onto the very narrow tree-lined fairway, you should be able to reach the green and have another eagle opportunity. Then, after the pretty par-3 17th, with an uphill tee shot over deep rough toward the elongated green, you will finish with another par-5 hole, the 18th, with a downhill tee shot landing onto a very narrow fairway, halfway (with nice homes lined up above on the left), and a last uphill approach toward the green (and its nice clubhouse with gorse bushes in front) for, maybe again, another eagle putt ! As usual, Jimbo63 designed a beautiful, and quite challenging course but, to fully enjoy it, you will have to set the shader level to "low" to see the nice clubhouse and church (if you set it to "medium", both will look black and you will see some grey rectangles too, far away, on the 11th, 14th and 18th holes).

Been a while since Jimbo had a nod & nearly 5 years since this course had a comment. A feature of Jimbo's designs is that he created courses whose titles commence with every letter of the alphabet. He told me so himself & you can't argue with facts like that.
Very narrow fairways on this one, so the titular cliffs really come into play. This is the first time I've seen an AI almost concede a hole on a course that was not designed by mjbrocko or cello - "use no hooks" on that 5th hole! Beautifully done as always, Jimbo - we still love ya...

Magnificent course Jimbo, excellent use of trees and plants. It kind of has a Pebble Beach feel to it, but more challenging. I had to dial back the graphic settings to Medium (normally I have them set to Very High) because there was a little lag, but after doing that, it was fine. Great course - 5 stars.

Hi Jimbo,
The more you produce the better you get and this is no exception and I look forward to many more.

In the "old days" when there were tons of designers and even more players, architects often took many chances with courses. Because of that, others learned how to make courses to rival the stocks. Jimbo has brought back that feel with his last few designs, including this one. Keep going for that "extra" and we will keep loving them!

This is a very nice course. Great elevation work. Really like the 16th hole. The libs you picked worked well. This is one of your best! Has an English feel to it, had fun playing this. A keeper! Thanks for the course.
