I am a little puzzled after reading the general info from ron717, mentioning tree-line fairways : even though this course is quite nice, with its wide open look, I did not see.. too many trees and found it very enjoyable that way. As for the above picture, I did not see any ocean nearby ! This being said, this par 72 plays very smoothly and has quite a few nice and challenging holes. I really like the right dogleg par-5 4th hole, with plenty of big bunkers around the corner, but if you take a look at the small villa on the left side of the green, you will see people standing and seemingly "talking" to each other in what looks like a garage : unusual sight, but a nice detail added by ron717 ! After the nice par-3 5th hole, where the green is on the other side of the lake, the very picturesque par-4 8th will make you sweat a lot as you will need to hit a very big tee shot over the lake to (hopefully) reach the green, more than 270 yards away... On the back 9, my favorite holes are the par-5 11th, with the flag slightly to the right with a big lake on the side and a very narrow fairway near the green, the scenic par-3 13th hole, with nice flowers in front of the lake, and the dogleg par-5 17th, with a wide lake on the left side. Despite its wide and, sometimes, undulated fairways, this course can be tricky on some holes with some well-placed bunkers and a few slopes on some greens. But that's part of its "charm", making this course another keeper in my book !

A great course, yet another Ron special, as the saying goes. It's a challenging layout, albeit in subtle ways, tougher than it appears to the eye. I actually found the par 5's some of the most difficult, no easy task to birdie. The piece-de-resistance though would have to be the risk-reward par 4 8th, a ripper. Really enjoyed it, the usual high quality standard, it plays beautifully and looks a treat. Cheers!
