Another magnificent and immaculate course, designed by Jimbo63, with beautiful small snow-capped mountains as a backdrop, nice villas, wide fairways with plenty of deep rough around (and, sometimes, in the middle), sparsely-planted group of trees, and with some tough approaches to the (often) slightly-elevated greens, not to mention the beautiful canyons seen along a few holes... After a nice right dogleg par-5 opening hole, slightly-uphill and with a wide canyon, further behind the green, you will face the pretty par-3 2nd, with a blind and slightly-uphill tee shot over a serpentine stream (mostly flowing on the right) landing onto the green, with a few trees on the left. Then after the 4th and 5th holes, with deep rough in the middle of the fairway, you will head to one of my favorite holes, the scenic par-3 6th, with a blind tee shot over some trees and a big canyon (mostly on the right). The right dogleg par-5 7th hole, facing the snow-capped mountains, is another beauty, with a tee shot over a meandering creek crossing the fairway and flowing all along on the right past the green, guarded by four small bunkers (two of them being pot bunkers on the left), and with a big canyon further to the right (and villas on top). Finally, the slightly-uphill par-4 9th hole, while not overly difficult, is quite pretty too, with two small lakes, one next to the tee box on the left, and the other one further to the right, and a third lake, close to the green on the right (with a nice blue house behind). On your way back, you will enjoy the very picturesque dogleg par-5 12th hole, with its undulating fairway (split twice by deep rough), hugging the canyon all along on the right, and with a little stream flowing across in front of the wide green, slightly to the right, and partially hidden by trees. The left dogleg par-4 13th hole is very nice too, with a big office complex set on an island (on the far left of the tee box), and a tough tee shot over a meandering creek (hidden by a few trees on the left), splitting the undulating fairway midway, and is followed by the straight, tricky and gorgeous par-4 14th, where you will have to hit shots twice over the serpentine stream (turning into a lake on the left), two-thirds of the way, to reach the green, near the water. Another dogleg, sharply to the right, awaits you on the par-4 15th hole, with a big pond in the right corner, hidden behind trees, and another big stream running along the fairway all the way to the right of the green. On the left dogleg par-4 16th hole, quite spectacular with a canyon all along the fairway on the left, you will have to hit a perfect tee shot to avoid landing into a big and elongated deep rough area in the middle of the narrow fairway (midway in the corner), while making sure to avoid a small lake on the left side (hidden by a few trees), before hitting your approach to the slightly-elevated green, guarded by a lone bunker in front, on the right. You will finish with the superb par-3 17th hole, with a small elongated lake across, bordered by a few trees, two-thirds of the way, near the green, and a gorgeous panoramic view of the canyon behind with all the villas on top, before moving on to the right dogleg par-5 18th, with a big bunker across the fairway, midway (with deep rough around), a big tree further behind (also in the middle of the fairway), and a long approach to the slightly-elevated green. Once again, Jimbo63 designed another breathtaking and challenging course where you should not forget to bring in your camera if you want to fully enjoy this masterpiece...
