An interesting course (or should I say two different courses ?) with five very nice and challenging water holes on the front 9 alone, and some elevation changes, plenty of trees and bunkers to watch for, and a couple of risk/reward holes, on the back 9. After playing the first two downhill holes, you will in for quite a test, starting with the right dogleg par-4 3rd, with a downhill tee shot over a winding river, flowing to the right, and over which you will have to hit your approach to reach the green (with the river turning into a wide lake behind), and the short par-4 4th, with its green (about 340 yards away) very tough to reach with a tee shot over part of that wide lake on the right, and a very narrow fairway, with a few bunkers lined up on the left. The sharply-to-the-right dogleg par-4 5th is another very challenging hole, with a tee shot over the lake again and another shot over part of it toward the sloped green, just like the scenic par-3 6th hole, with the green at the tip of the lake. Then, after the left dogleg par-4 7th hole, downhill all the way and with bunkers on both sides of the fairway, midway in the corner, you will face two par-5 holes, the challenging right dogleg 8th, with a blind tee shot landing downward next two bunkers in the right corner of the winding fairway (with a meandering river on the right), and another blind second shot over plenty of trees toward the green (with the winding river flowing past on the left), and the left dogleg 9th, slightly-uphill all the way, but waterless and with a big bunker in front of the green. The scenery changes drastically coming back, with the downhill par-4 10th hole, and its narrow tree-lined fairway, and the right dogleg par-4 11th, slightly-uphill. But, if you are in a gambling mood, you will love the short (around 320 yards) and sharply-to-the-right dogleg par-4 13th hole, where you will have to decide if you want to try to reach the green with your driver, by hitting a blind tee shot over plenty of trees (with a couple of bunkers behind), or play it safe by hitting a blind and downhill tee shot landing near three small bunkers in the right corner (behind the trees) with a clear view of the green on your second shot. You will then face the only water hole on the back 9, the right dogleg par-5 15th, downhill all the way, with a second shot over a big pond, in front of the sloped green (and with three small bunkers to watch for on the right), before finishing with the straight and uphill par-4 16th hole, with 5 bunkers across the fairway, midway, the blind and uphill par-3 17th, and the left dogleg par-5 18th hole, with a downhill tee shot and a long approach to the slightly-elevated green, with a couple of bunkers around to deal with. Overall, while this Lagomarsino Golf Club is not as spectacular as some other courses, it is quite enjoyable with all those water hazards on the front 9 and some challenging shots on the back 9, and you should enjoy this par 71, thanks to dave319's nice imagination and design...

Wow, if this is your first course design, you are good. A fun and challenging round. Lots of water, bunkers and risk/reward. It's a nice mix of tough and easy holes. Great work Dave, hope to see more from you.
