A wide-open course with the gorgeous Manhattan skyline panorama far away (designed by the CGX team), and plenty of narrow (and sometimes undulating) fairways with a few water hazards, filled with plenty of reeds, to keep you in check if you want to go for broke on a few holes. My favorite holes on the front 9 are the short par-4 2nd, with its blind tee shot flying over tall grass at the edge of an elongated lake on the left, the downhill par-3 3rd, with another elongated lake behind the undulating green (on the left) and the city skyline, way beyond, and the par-5 5th, with its fairway split halfway and with more water (filled with reeds) on the left, not too far from the green. The slightly-uphill (and all the way) par-4 7th hole is nice too, with the skyline facing you as you tee off, but the par-3 8th is even prettier with a tee shot over high grass and an elongated lake with a much closer view of the... Statue of Liberty, not too far behind the green. The back 9 starts with the par-5 10th hole, quite straight but with another elongated lake (on the left) to watch for on your second shot toward the green, and is followed by the left dogleg par-4 11th, with a blind tee shot over tall grass landing onto an undulating fairway, and the scenic par-3 12th hole, with the Statue of Liberty again behind the green. On the short par-4 13th hole, you might be able to reach the green with your driver and putt for an eagle, before heading for the par-4 14th and its blind and uphill tee shot over a reed-filled lake, and the similar par-4 15th hole, with an additional lake on the left of the downhill green. Then, after the nice par-3 16th hole, with a big pond diagonally in front of the small green, you will face the short and slightly-uphill par-4 17th, where reaching the green from the tee box may be too tricky with deep rough and two small bunkers in front, before heading home with the short right dogleg par-5 18th hole, quite nice with another lake, midway on the left, and some office buildings behind the green. Needless to say, you can't go wrong downloading a course designed by Jimbo63 and this one is no exception. And with that little magic trick of flying this real layout from England all the way to the Liberty STate Park, it makes it even prettier !

Very nice course, cool clubhouse area. cart paths could be smoother, but I know how a pain they can be. Nice job on this course.
