This course has a gorgeous snow-capped mountain panorama, lots of bushes, very high rough and quite a few canyons, hills and, of course, lakes ! With its nice plantings and beautiful scenery, this par 71 plays very smoothly but you will really have to concentrate to avoid hazards if you don't want to have nightmares, trying to get out... On the front 9, I like the very scenic par-4 2nd hole, with the lake crossing the fairway to go to the right side, the left dogleg par-4 3rd, where you will have to hit your tee shot over the lake and your second shot to the left, and the right dogleg par-4 4th hole, with its narrow fairway near the green. The back 9 has some nice holes too, starting with the dogleg par-5 12th, with the lake on the right side, but my favorite holes are the very scenic (and tough) right dogleg par-4 17th, with a big canyon on the right side, and the par-4 18th hole, quite scary too, with a tee shot over the canyon and its nice green next to the clubhouse and the parking lot. Well designed, as usual by Jimbo63, pleasant to look at, and quite challenging with some tough pin placements, Biddlestone Lakes is a definite keeper !

Another brilliant Jimbo creation, an excellent track with a very pleasant layout. This one is a tad easier than some other 'Jimbos' out there (eg, Denton, Abbotsbury) with the greens particularly being relatively friendlier. Still a decent level of challenge though - the fairways slope all over the place and the pins can be awkward, so there's an emphasis on good shot placement and club selection.. and the rough can be deadly. It looks fantastic, plays true, and is a joy to get around - loved it, superb stuff. Cheers!

Thanks for the comment Putt. Those bushes look good but are a real pain in the backside if you get caught in them, as I realized while testing the course.

Great course Jimbo. Had to concede the 4th hole as ball was deep in the bushes. Liked the canyon at the side of the 17th. Enjoy all your courses.
