Welcome to "waterland", Illinois, as this course has plenty of very nice holes with... water hazards ! MSR Golf did a very good job with this par-72 course which is very pleasant to look at and fun to play. On the front 9, I like the par-5 2nd hole with its narrow fairway and water on the right side, the pretty views on the par-4 4th hole, the par-3 5th and the par-3 7th (with small rock on the edge of the pond). But my favorite hole is the par-4 8th with its serpentine creek. The par-4 10th has an unusual configuration : with a straight tee shot, you can reach the green and... bypass the fairway, slightly on the right. The par-5 11th hole is a nice dogleg hole with the little creek splitting the fairway in the middle. I also like the par-4 13th, a dogleg with plenty of bushes near the tee and... water near the green and the par-4 15th with its nice view. As for the par-4 18th hole, bring on your sunglasses as you might be blinded by the (very) bright white road intersection ! With plenty of water to contend with, nice plantings, short fairways often leaving you in the rough after your tee shots, this course is a delight to play and a definite keeper for me, thanks to the great work done by MSR Golf...

Very good course, but maybe a bit too much uniformity in the hole coloring.
