Lovely course, buckets of character and no two holes the same (or even similar). Had a great time on this one - and not so easy as it may appear, it's a tough little nugget at times. Fantastic design, cheers!

This is another beautiful course, designed by Jimbo63, in the Mancheste area, with some similarities with... the North Manchester course (also from Jimbo63). With gorgeous wooded scenery, nice houses, slanted and/or undulated fairways, nice plantings and a few sloped greens, this unusual par-69 plays very smoothly and is very enjoyable. A few holes have short fairways, leaving you with a dilemma as to what club you should tee off with : if you use a driver, you will end up in the rough and if you take a short iron, then you will have a long approach shot to the green. On the front 9, I like the views from the greens of the par-3 2nd, 4th and 9th holes (houses, countryside and forest) and the beautiful downhill par-4 6th, reachable from the tee, with the river bending to the right. Special mention also for the downhill par-4 8th with its elevated green. The back 9 has quite a few holes with slanted fairways (par-4 10th, 11th, 13th) but my favorite holes are the par-4 14th with its downhill green next to the river, the dogleg to the right par-4 16th with the river on both sides and its small green nestled among the trees and the par-4 17th, a dogleg to the left with water nex to the fairway and a creek crossing across. As you can imagine, this course will be added to my "collection" of beautiful courses which is no surprise when its "signature" is from Jimbo63 !

Great to play on your home ground this time Jimbo, since your West Derby is practically my home ground, being close to where my early years were spent. Pity we can't arrange any home & away matches with me being so far away now - but if I ever win the jackpot...
Mostly par 4s here & they're nearly all short, but that's not to say they're easy. In some cases, you're teeing off with irons to avoid trouble & many approach shots are not straightforward either. Faves are 16 & 17 - coupla rad layouts. Nice touch as always, Jimbo.

An enjoyable course. Must be hard to put so many trees into a course and get them all looking right. The colors of the trees blended well. The trees on the first three holes were, in my opinion, too regimented and lacked variety, but there was a vast improvement from there on. The birdsong was very very good. The grass textures were good and had a softness about them, liked the wispy deep rough. The fairways had some nice undulations.
