This par 72 is well designed with some nice white houses and plays smoothly but, despite a few dogleg holes, is not too challenging and/or breathtaking. On the front 9, I like the dogleg par-4 1st hole, with a lake on the left side of a nice tree-lined fairway but you will see a few fans about 100 yards away in the middle of nowhere (!) on the right side of the green ! Then, after the dogleg par-4 2nd hole, slightly to the left, with a big bunker across near the front of the green, you should be able to putt for an eagle on the short right dogleg par-5 3rd hole, with a big bunker in the right corner and a lake further on the left. The par-3 4th hole is nice and a little bit tough, with a small pond all the way across in front of the green with a small bunker in front of the flag (but there are a couple of trees in the water on the right !), and is followed by the right dogleg par-4 5th, with small bunkers on both sides in the right corner and an elevated green. After the long par-5 (more than 600 yards) 6th hole with its rollercoaster fairway, and the par-3 7th, two nice left dogleg par-4 holes follow : the 8th, with a slightly-uphill tee shot and a downhill approach shot to the small green, and the 9th hole, with a little mound in the corner on the right and a downhill slope to the green. The back 9 has a couple of noteworthy holes : the par-4 10th, with a narrow fairway as you reach the green, the par-4 11th hole, with a creek running along on the left side all the way to the small green (with a nice white house behind), and the par-3 13th, with a small pond next to the green on the right. I also like the right dogleg par-4 16th hole, with its narrow green and bunker in front, and the left dogleg par-5 18th hole, with a narrow green, surrounded by small bunkers, and where you should be able to get a last eagle opportunity. Despite a couple of displaying bugs, Chandler Gold Golf Club looks realistic but it could be nicer with a couple of minor adjustments, which does not take away the nice job already done by Pepa Designs.

Almost all of the TW08 designs are artistic highlights, and this one is no exception. All honour for Pepa design. Thanx.

Nice course. Pine trees, slightly hilly rolling fairways with sand traps where you don't want them to be plus you have to place your shot.
