Warning : if you like "The Sound of Silence", then don't play this course (LOL) ! The Members Club at Grande Dunes is simply... superb ! If you are a bird lover, then you will love this course as it has plenty of bird noises through the first 7 holes to the point of making you feel, at times, like you are at the zoo or in the jungle. In fact, this will test your concentration level but if you don't like birds (but only... birdies !), then you have a choice : either play with... ear plugs or turn down the sound ! As for the course itself, it is simply awesome : there are all kinds of shades of trees, plantings are gorgeous, lakes are very nice and small details, like golf carts, benches, garbage bins, etc., are all well done. And what about the clubhouse ? It is simply one of the most beautiful you will ever see ! This course has lots of great looking holes : on the front 9, the par-4 2nd hole is gorgeous with its trees and narrow fairway, just like the par-3 4th with its two bridges. But the par-5 5th hole, surrounded by water on... three sides, is simply superb. The par-3 6th hole is very nice too and the par-4 9th with the lake on the right side and the clubhouse near the green, magnificent ! The back 9 is a little bit different (and quieter !) with fewer trees and more space. But the last three holes are worth the wait : the par-3 16th with the green close to the water and the very scenic par-4 17th are very nice. But the "signature" hole is the par-4 18th : parallel to the 9th (but on the right side), it is even more beautiful with big bunkers in the middle of the fairways... and that gorgeous clubhouse. Needless to say, this course designed by crater24842 is simply a masterpiece and is a definite top 10 in my book... Thank you so much for your time & efforts, crater24842 ! Myrtle Beach can be proud of you...
