Another magnificent fantasy course from Eaglphan which, once again, looks so real that it is unreal ! With small mountains as a panorama, smooth fairway and green textures and beautiful plantings, with quite a lot of deep weeds and a few... dead trees around the lakes, this par 72 is visually stunning and delightful to play.
You will start your round with the nice par-4 1st hole, with a lake hugging the fairway all along on the left and past the green (with a few dead trees on its banks), and move later on to the par-5 3rd, slightly-uphill all the way, with a blind tee shot over some bushes landing near some bunkers in the left corner (with a wide lake on the right) and with a long second shot toward the green.
Then, after the nice par-3 4th hole, with a tee shot over some deep rough, you will face the par-4 5th, with a blind and uphill second shot over some dead trees and deep rough splitting the fairway to reach the green, slightly to the right, before heading for the gorgeous, but very risky, par-4 6th hole (one of my favorites), along a lake on the left, with its green, on its edge, less than 300 yards away from the tee box, but with plenty of high weeds and out-of-bounds near it.
After a couple of blind approaches to the elevated green of the left dogleg par-4 7th hole, and the green of the par-3 8th, you will finish the front 9 with a nice par-4, slightly-uphill all the way, with a tee shot over a lake, landing near some wide bunkers scattered along the fairway.
On the back 9, if I like the right dogleg par-4 11th hole, with a wide lake on the right and a long second shot toward the wide and elevated green, and the straight par-4 12th, with a blind and uphill second shot over plenty of bushes to reach the green, the most beautiful hole is the right dogleg par-4 13th, with a tee shot over a lake and a blind and slightly-uphill second shot toward the wide green with so much high weeds around that it looks more like an island green !
Finally, after two right dogleg holes, the par-5 14th, slightly-uphill all the way, with a long second shot toward the green, and the par-4 15th hole, with a wide lake and a few dead trees on the right of the green, you will end your journey with the beautiful right dogleg par-5 18th hole, with the fairway hugging the lake all along on the left and a long second shot toward the green, surrounded halfway by plenty of high weeds.
Not surprisingly, this Eagle Lakes Golf course is one of Eaglphan's best designs, combining beauty with quite a few challenging holes, and you should definitely download it... even if you are not a big fan of fantasy courses !

Dear Mr.Eaglphan,
The problem was solved by: menu, options, graphics and slide the button to best performance.
I have always used the default setting here, fearing the game would slow down too much otherwise.
But everything was fine now, and so was the course, but what happened to all those dead trees?
On the contrary the living ones looked very healthy and were nicely detailed.
It was a pleasure to play your course, in optimal conditions at minus 14 ( 2 eagles, which word you appriciate much, I think).

Dear Mr. Eaglphan,

I downloaded and installed the course anew, and now everything was O.K. for 2 holes.
After that (hole 3) the problem with the black squared trees started again.
Can you be more exact when you advise "adjust the shader down one level"?
Can I do that in Windows Vista or in TW'08 itself?
The 2 holes of the course I did see(very interesting) make it worth while trying to make everything all right.

On my computer there was something wrong with this course.
It started all right at hole one, but after that half of the trees or plants were covered with black squares.
Maybe my videocard doesn't fit with this course.
Does someone knowes what to do?
