A gorgeous course, with small hills as a panorama, a few tall trees sometimes in the way of winding fairways, nice plantings, and also quite challenging, especially from the tees where you will have to think hard before hitting your first shots... This par 73 has plenty of nice sights (fences on both sides of the tees, a couple of wooden houses, a few small sheltered wells) which blend in well with the winding paths and the big bunkers,, with plenty of high rough all around. If the right dogleg par-4 1st hole is a nice way to start, the right dogleg par-5 4th is even nicer, with a slightly downhill green and plenty of wide bunkers spread all along, just like the picturesque par-4 5th hole, quite short (about 310 yards), with a windmill facing the tee area and plenty of bunkers around the green. Then, after the "easy" par-3 6th hole and its daisy-shaped bunker all around the green, you will reach the left dogleg par-4 7th, where you will have to hit a slightly uphill blind tee shot through (or around) tall trees, midway in the corner, if you want to have a clear shot of the green : easier said than done... The right dogleg par-5 8th hole and the par-4 9th are nice without being overly difficult if you hit precise tee shots to avoid the few tall trees around. On the back 9, I like the right dogleg par-4 10th hole, very picturesque with its winding path and its few trees midway, making the fairway quite narrow, the nice and straight par-3 12th, with plenty of bushes and a few more bunkers around the green, and the... green of the left dogleg par-4 14th hole, surrounded by another big daisy-shaped bunker. One of my favorite holes is the beautiful and (almost) straight par-5 15th, where the fairway winds through a few tall trees, making it quite tough to hit your tee shot and find a nice landing spot in order to have a chance to reach the green on your second shot... Tnankfully, the other straight par-5 16th hole has a clearer view of the flag far away, but you will have to avoid the wide bunkers, spread along on both sides of its fairway. As, for the short left dogleg par-4 18th hole (less than 310 yards), don't try to reach the green from the tee : with plenty of trees in the corner, you better play it safe ! Beautifully-done, Highland Drive is a delight to watch and play : with nice views from the tees and quite a few tricky holes, you will enjoy this course, designed by Gemini... no matter what astrological sign you were born under !

Nice course... The first shot at many holes required some mathematical talents, which I don't have, unfortunately.... Nevertheless I scored(a bit lucky, with an eagle at hole 14) minus ten. My only complaint: the windmills were, in my opinion, a dissonant in the landscape of the highlands (?). But all the same, a good job. Thank you!

Good job, I enjoyed my round. Had me laughing when my golfer walked right thru the fence at the side of the tee. Thanks for sharing this course.
