A true test, this course gives nothing away narrow fairways, deep traps and theres nothing easy on the greens.A masterpiece

Awesome, if this isn't a near-perfect design of this track, I'd sure like to see what is. It captures all the intricacies and difficulty that make it the revered (and feared) course it is, without any unnecessary decor and such. That said it's certainly pleasant on the eye, but this here is *all* about the course itself.. and what a fine beastie it is! Don't be fooled, it's bite is definitely worse than its bark. Kudos Mr Munro, one of your finest hours. Cheers!

A classic and gorgeous course, not as "CarNasty" as Hyno Designs' 2007 version. With its nice and colorful plantings and beautiful landscape, this par 71 plays very smoothly and is a pure delight to watch. With wider fairways and rough not as high, birdie opportunities will come, provided you avoid those bunkers still present all over the course. While I like all the holes, my favorite ones, without any surprise, are the last two par-4s : the 17th is very scenic with its meandering creek and requires a little bit of thinking about club selection off the tee, whereas the final hole is quite long and offers a spectacular view of the Carnoustie hotel behind the green. Needless to say, Neil Munro came up with another great rendition of a British course and deserves all the credit he has been receiving for his work, year in, year out...

This is a great course to play - played along with The Open and with much same conditions as the Pros played (which really makes TW 08 game a great game to play to be able to mimic conditions for the most part) and shot 74,68,72 and 67. What a challenge to keep out of the heavy rough and gorse bushes. I didn`t always do that. Great finishing holes the 17th and 18th with the barry burn in your face. Thanks Neil for this great rendition and for sharing. A keeper!

Thanks for the course Neil. I'll leave technical feedback to better players and just say I enjoyed my round and will have lots more in the future. The burn on the 17th and 18th was particularly impressive. Thanks again.

Thanks B.E. There is an updated version of this course which I made to reflect some of the recent changes, and fix some bits that weren't quite right. If anyone wants a copy PM me and I'll be glad to send them it. I have actually done a version of St Andrews, but as the buildings are part of a PGAX library which isn't available here I havent uploaded it. I may see if I can find some suitable buildings which I can put in their place.

Even flatter than St Andrews & seemingly more open - but definitely not boring! Neil has made this course look much better than the original TW08 St Andrews, due to clearer definition between fairway & rough - particularly for the cutaway overhead view. 5*
8 comments in 8 days - 2 of which were replies by Neil. With over 1600 downloads & a high rating, a lot of people obviously like this course - it's just a shame they don't leave a few kind words in appreciation of Neil's fine work...

I've done a few Rob, under the Pgax banner. TPC Boston, Sheshan, Atunyote which I did with Shadow, and Riviera which had some problems so I haven't released it on here yet. Thank you for the kind words, you and Pete (PCDurum) are my favourite designers here so to have positive comments from you both is great. TBH the planting you have done on your courses has raised the bar for the rest of the designers here and caused me to spend way longer than usual on Scourinburn. Thanks also to everyone who commented.

Way to go Neil, Top Billing for this course. This course played smooth and looked excellent. I like everything about as i always find all your courses top of the line. Good Job with the water and bunkers. the layout was right on. I played many rounds on this course and enjoy each round. Time seem to fly by and the course was very fair to play. A keeper for me with a 5 star rating. Hope to see some more real course from you to add to my collection....

Not sure Phil, was thinking of an island course or maybe a desert with a big canyon running through it. Thats the hard part for me, getting a plot I like. I prefer to make the whole plot, then fit the course into it rather than the opposite way round.
