An interesting course, with nice rolling hills as a panorama, along with colorful trees, with plenty of dogleg holes, small elevation changes and water hazards, but a few designing bugs spoil its beauty... This par 71 starts with three right dogleg par-4 holes, with my favorite being the 3rd, with a fairway hugging a river (on the left) flowing behind and past the green (with a little pond to watch for, on the right). The par-3 4th hole is very pretty, with a blind tee shot over a mall lake (with plenty of bushes around), and is followed by another right dogleg, the par-4 5th, uphill all the way (with a big bunker, midway on the left, making the tree-lined fairway quite narrow), and with a blind shot toward the slanted green. Two other left dogleg par-4 holes stand out on the front 9 : the 7th, with an uphill tee shot landing near bunkers, midway on both sides of the fairway (hugging an elongated lake on the right and ending near the downhill green), and the 9th, quite wide open and uphill all the way, with a tee shot landing between two elongated lakes (on the left and another one, higher up, on the right). On the back 9, if I like the left dogleg par-4 11th hole, uphill all the way and with a lake flowing past the green behind, the finishing holes are not only pretty, they are also quite challenging. It starts with the very picturesque par-3 15th, with a tee shot over a wide lake and a small crescent-shaped pond behind (and to the right of) the green, and continues with the left left dogleg par-4 16th, uphill all the way, with a tee shot landing near two bunkers, midway (and with a wide lake on the left), and a blind approach toward the green. Last, but not least, you will have to hit an uphill tee shot over a big pond on the par-3 17th hole, before walking over to the left dogleg par-5 18th, uphill all the way where, after a tee shot over a big pond and a long second shot all along a lake (on the right), you should get close to the green (with another lake on the left), before walking up for a well-deserved rest on the imposing clubhouse, set on a plateau. Real or not real (see comments below), this Cedar Creek Golf course looks nice but, unfortunately, it needs some updating in order to avoid seeing half-buried homes and a tree on top of a buried roof (in the left corner) on the right dogleg par-4 14th hole, and a couple of lakes with hardly any banks !

This is a very nice course. May not be exact but its hard to be exact when designing a course youve never acually been on. Dem files can be off track. Its better than the carnival crap thats been going up. Keep them coming Willie.

There is no way this should be considered a real course. It bears no resemblance to the actual course. I play there numerous times a year. The hole yardages and par are not even close. I would have to say the only resemblance to the course I saw was that it had green grass. I am not going to comment on any of the technical elements like 45 degree tee boxes or anything like that. The reason I downloaded this is that I live not far from here and play it several times annually. This one comes off my hard drive

Sir,
I've NEVER complained or bashed a designer on the time he takes or the gifts that he gives this community. BUT, I'm actually a member here at this course and it is not even close to what the course is like. I would recommend that you change the type to fantasy rather than real. It may be based upon a real course, but it is nowhere close to what the course is actually like. Here in Albertville, we have no trees! :) The trees we have are about 2 feet tall!
On the flip side, this was a VERY fun course to play! I play TW08 all the time and I actually scored a +5 on this course! Again, very fun and I commend you on the work you did. I have played many of your other courses and they are GREAT!! I love you as a designer! Can't wait for your next addition!
Again, I'm sorry if I seem like a jerk. I apologize to the bottom of my heart! But I just wanted you to know from someone who if VERY familiar with this course! Take care and look forward again to your next course!

The good news first, the course is very appealing to the eyes, and has the feel of a early autumn day. Now the bad, slant, slanting, and slantiest, the holes (pins), the tee boxes, and some of the fairways also. I know some designers want the courses to play tough, and this one actually did under very dry conditions but, playing a tough game versus an enjoyable one is the BIG difference. Keep your chin up and continue designing with all of these thoughts in mind. Thanks for your time.

Well we got to #5 hole and had a problem getting the ball to stop by the hole. This green needs to be flattened out a bit as we were 23 feet away and 34" uphill. Could be a nice course just needs a little tweeking.

Of course there are many ways to look at it. But from a simple casual golf player stand point, I really enjoyed it. It's long, it's hard and it's very pleasant to play. Thank you willie for designing and uploading this one.

I have not played one of your courses in a while, so I tried this one to see how you have progressed in designing.
Please dont take this as a bash but constructive criticism.
No1 rule in designing is tees must be flat.
No2 water must be flat and all banks must go up and not down.
No3 pins should not be placed where ball rolls back. Keep pins no more than 4" uphill/downhill for every 10' of distance.
If water does not reflect, it is because you are using more than one library of water. Make water all the same texture.
Some houses are underground.
Those are some major probs that I see on this and other designs that are easily fixed and would make you courses more enjoyable.
