Par 72 7333 yds - tree lined fairways. This could pass for a real course - beautiful with the trees the brook that you can hear at times. The very nice river that runs alongside some of the holes Just excellent all around. No Tour setup. Plays great! Thanks for sharing.

A beauty of a course by Neil Munro, with plenty of colorful trees, small creeks, subtle elevation changes and partially-hidden greens, with birds whistling along on some holes but not to the point of covering up the sound of the babbling brook (I learned a new word tonight, LOL !)... If you want to hear it right away, then turn the sound up a notch on the right dogleg par-4 1st hole, with the creek right across the tee box, before admiring the nice panoramic overview of the trees as you reach the green of the par-3 3rd hole. Then, after playing two nice par-4 right dogleg holes, the 4th, with trees on a hilltop on the right, a lake further to the left and an uphill green, and the 5th, with plenty of trees on the right side, a downhill tee shot and a slightly elevated green, you will reach a spectacular 3-hole stretch... The slightly downhill par-3 6th hole is simply gorgeous with a creek running across in front of the green and a wide fork-shaped bunker in front, and is followed by the beautiful par-4 7th, with a creek on the left side of a slanted fairway and with a sloped green, and the similar, but longer, par-5 8th hole. The scenery then changes drastically with the right dogleg par-5 9th hole, with a wide fairway and a creek flowing across the green, with a beautiful mansion behind (to the left) and a small war memorial in front ! The back 9 has some very nice holes too, starting with the steep uphill par-3 11th, with a slanted fairway and a blind shot to the flag, and the par-5 12th hole, with a blind uphill tee shot and another blind shot downhill to the green, slightly to the left. After the "easy" par-3 13th hole, with a green slightly downhill and a big lake behind, you will reach the very nice and short (less than 350 yards) par-4 14th hole, where you will need a big tee shot to fly over the wide lake while avoiding a lone tree on the other side, partially hiding the view of the green to the left. The par-5 15th hole is not only picturesque, it is also quite tough with a creek to the right along the twisted fairway (left, right, then left again) and a slightly downhill green, partially hidden by trees on a hilltop on the left side. The next two holes are similar and pretty : the par-3 16th has a creek on the right side but is not too difficult, unlike the short par-4 17th (less than 310 yards) where the green, hidden to the right, near the creek, has two small bunkers to the left, making it almost impossible to land near the flag... As for the par-5 18th hole, it is quite scenic and not as easy as it looks (with its wide fairway), as a meandering creek running across the fairway twice (in the middle and in front of the green) might stop you from gambling too much, trying to reach the green and its gorgeous mansion behind, with water all around. Needless to say, Scourinburn is a pure gem, with some magnificent holes, proving, once again, that Neil Munro is one of the best designers around. But, enough... babbling ! Hurry to download this masterpiece...

Top-shelf design, this is golf at its finest. It's a 'Munroco' so no need to elaborate on the quality; it's the course itself that stars here. And a classic it is, pure and simple. The front 9 is brilliant. Love the 'Amen middle', if I may call it that, on holes 4 thru 6.. and then the course highlight actually coming straight after - the par 4 7th, wow, such a very very good hole. The back is almost as good, with the par 3 11th and par 4 14th the standouts. I loved this course, a great joy all the way. Big praise, cheers!

This is a fun course to play, tight tee shots, long par 5 fives and just enough water to make you think. the greens don't look very difficult but it's tough to get close on a lot of approaches and very subtle breaks.....well done.
Some brutal rough there too ...

This is a fantastic course , challenging but playable with great layout, as said in previous post this is a keeper and I can't say that about many of Fantasy courses, just like some of my local courses, like The Dukes at St Andrews etc. Well done

Love every inch of this course! Very challenging under the right conditions but not to the point of being unplayable. This is one of the few courses that I will keep. Outstanding detail and very pleasing to the eye. Great job!!

Played on LAN, Breezy, VDry, easy. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Five par 5s, but because of the way they are laid out, none of them are sure things to reach in two strokes (especially in wind, due to some very narrow landing areas). No lag on my machine, 66 FPS. Some people might have trouble on some of the fairways because some of them are sloped enough to put a seemingly safe drive in the rough, but nothing unfair - a practice round will show you where to hit it. Another Neil classic !

I thought that I already had your best course in Redwood Glen but I was wrong. This one is spectacular. Excellent attention to detail. It seems that you are actually on a live course. The clubhouse (mansion? lol) is the best that I've ever seen. Also, excellent use of sounds. The chirping birds were not over done and also loved the babbling brook. I don't usually comment on a course, which is probably un-fair to the great designers out there who would like to have some feedback on their efforts, but this one just had to be commented on. I look forward to your next courses. Top marks on this one. Thank you very much for Scourinburn and all of your other courses.

Thanks for comments guys, very much appreciated. Yeah the tree on first was placed there, I don't think it affects the shot but maybe makes it look more daunting. Phil, my "next" course has been ready for a few months now. I did a version of Carnoustie, and while the course is finished I was hoping to get some buildings made for the course surrounds. Not sure if this is gonna happen now so I may just release it as it is.
Cheers

Now and again a course comes on here that gets my "Cult status" label, and this is one of those moments one of the best courses ever IMO the last course to get this award was Valhalla but this course has got to be in the top ten of all time, masterpiece! Normally I would say cannot wait to see your next course Neil but you would have to be on a golden roll to top this one! lol...AND I hope you are!

Loved this course and also like Jimbo, the babbling brook. I also like how it traveled up and down the valley on both sides. The trees and plantings made it look natural and real. I could have sworn that I saw a couple of "Monkey Puzzler" trees along the way.

Great job Neil. It feels as if it is, or should be a real course. I love the holes with the creek, meandering through the hills.
