What a big disappointment : the Lido is no longer the cabaret that is used to be...
Anyway, once I got over this "sad" news, I was very happy to play this pretty course, one of the best, designed by ron717.
Located in Lido Beach, New York, this par-72 course has plenty of slightly uphill greens, doglegs and sometimes, narrow and undulated fairways which will require precise shots to avoid some bunkers and/or water hazards.
Starting with the par-5 1st hole, you have a nice view of the landscape, but the best looking holes are the downhill par-4 3rd and the par-3 5th, with its nice view near the sea. The par-4 6th hole is pretty too with a small lake on the left side.
The par-5 9th hole and the par-4 10th have narrow fairways while the par-4 14th and the dogleg to the right par-5 16th - my favorite - have lakes on both sides.
With a few coke (?) vending machines set on the course, here and there, you should have enought energy to complete the par-4 18th and admire the nice clubhouse before thanking ron717 for his design...

Really good job ron717. Enjoyable round, played smoothly. Great views from 16th and 17th tees.
