With beautiful sun-lit mountains as a backdrop (Sedona pano) and some nice trees, this par 72 looks nice but, unfortunately, too many holes look alike with ponds in the middle of the fairways and/or near the greens, or greens set at the bottom of small basins, making it too repetitive to really enjoy it. On the front 9, the straight par-3 2nd hole has high trees surrounding the green, making it tough for your tee shot to go through (just like on the 4th, with its green set on a high plateau), whereas the left dogleg par-4 3rd, with a slightly-uphill tee shot, a big bunker in the left corner and an elongated pond, a little bit further, is nice with its green at the bottom of a small basin. Similarly, the dogleg par-4 5th hole, slightly left, has two small ponds a few yards apart, making it almost impossible to land your ball in between, before trying to reach the elevated green (again set on a plateau), just like on the left dogleg par-4 7th where, with two small ponds around the corner, (with flowers around it), you need to hit a short tee shot before trying to reach the elevated green (same with the par-5 9th hole…). On the back 9, I like the short par-3 10th hole (less than 120 yards) with its undulated green at the bottom of a basin, but the right dogleg par-4 11th, with an elongated pond in the corner, is similar to 5th, 7th, and 9th holes… After the par-3 12th hole, with a green at the bottom of a basin (similar to the 10th hole), I had to drop a shot on the straight par-4 14th, as I got too close to a pond right in front of the plateau (where the green is located), unlike on the straight and unusual par-4 15th hole, with palm trees across the fairway and a big slope going down to the green. As for the final two holes, the par-5 17th hole is a left dogleg, whereas the right dogleg par-5 18th has an elongated pond not far from the green, looking like quite a few other holes… Despite some nice plantings, this course is not a keeper for me, but thanks, anyway, to Tigertaff0 for his time and work…
