Another gorgeous course by Neil Munro with nice mountains as a panorama, plenty of trees, and some tough par-5 holes where you will have to do a little bit of thinking if you want to score well... One of my favorite holes on the front 9, is the dogleg par-4 2nd, quite scenic, with a big lake on the left side and a very nice war memorial on a small island beyond the green. The next two holes, the short par-4 3rd and the par-3 4th, look similar to the 2nd hole, with the lake on the left side. After the long par-5 5th hole, with trees partially hiding the fairway, and the "cute" par-3 6th, with its downhill green, the right dogleg par-4 7th hole has a tough approach shot to the green, with trees in the way. Two other beautiful and challenging holes are the par-3 8th, with a tee shot over the lake and the flag very close to it on the other bank, and the sharp dogleg par-5 9th hole, with trees in the way of your tee shot on the right side and an island in the corner of the lake on the left, with plenty of trees hiding the green. The back 9 has some more challenging holes, starting with the dogleg par-5 11th with a lake on the left, and further on the right, and a narrow fairway near the green, or the sharp and short dogleg par-4 12th hole, with the lake on the right side. The last two par-5 holes are pretty and tough : the dogleg to the right 16th, my favorite, has trees around the (very) tiny green and a nice bridge and water real close to it (on the left side), whereas the 18th hole, with its twisted fairway, will require a very accurate shot over trees to reach the green where you will be able to admire the gorgeous mansion behind. Not only this par 72 looks very nice, it is also quite challenging, especially the par-5 holes but, with wide greens almost everywhere (except on the 16th hole), you should be able to score a few birdies and enjoy this beauty designed, once again, by Neil Munro...

A smooth, smooth course. Good range of colors on the course. The 6th hole is a little beauty. The 9th hole is a good par five with a couple of strategically placed bunkers. The 16th green is very nice with the bridge in the background. A fine course that deserves to be widely appreciated.

Great job Neil. Played smoothly. I loved the greens next to the lochans with the excellent pano in the background, with the autumn colours on some of the trees reflecting in the water. Had to risk a drive over the lochan on hole 12, what a splash!

You have designed an excellent course! It plays smoothly and looks great. It has the "feel" of being real. Played on difficult setting with no problems. The 16th green in particular is the best. Really got to be careful on that one - lol. Thank you very much for bringing this course to all of us.

Agh okay Neil I see what you mean on hole 9 on difficult settting. I played it on easy so went back on practice mode well yes its a borderline one! but not impossible depends where you end up on the green! will not put me off anyway. one of the best courses of 2009

TYVM for comments guys. There is a slight problem on hole 9. Front left pin is borderline playable in very dry conditions. I thought I'd found all the problem pins but this one slipped through.
